The hpv case does sounds fishy to me. I heard it's supposed to protect from penises that don't get thoroughly washed before sex, which are the cause of this wart problem :/

DOn't mean to offend you but, are you a retard? washing one's penis will not prevent an hpv infection, that's like saying if you wash yourself well you won't transmit herpes or hiv/aids.

Men carry it and transmit it to women through sexual fluids, and some even get warts and/or penile and rectal cancers from it. The only reason it's marketed to women more is b/c currently there is no approved way to test a man for hpv, and the rates of cancer are less than the rates in women.

honestly, I don't know anything about hpv and I only really heard about it when the news decided to cover it in depth in order to quickly force the gardasil into being administered in schools, etc...

This "unwashed penis" thing was included as one of the reasons for why women should get it. It sounded pretty strange to me for them to say that. I figured it would have something to do with the sexual fluids too.

There are over a 100 different types of HPV, of which only 30-40 are sexually transmitted. Most people's immune systems probably fight off HPV and it goes unnoticed. Let's not totally overlook living a healthy and sanitary lifestyle. I'm sure there is a far greater risk of infection in area's of the world that are unsanitary and over populated.

There are probably higher rates of cervical cancer among prostitutes than the general female population. I'd put money on that in a heartbeat.
