      Ok, almost.

      Alright, kind of.

We've got a long way to go. Let's qualify to our first World Cup first.

The team was playing just as professionally as any European team during the early nineties. Then they sort of lost it. Lack of funds under Ter-Petrosyan's regime, I guess.

More reports re: Armenia's draw against Moldova.

                "Moldova 2 - 2 Armenia

Moldova and Armenia drew 2-2 in an entertaining friendly game. The Brazilian-born Marcos Pizzelli silenced the home crowd on 25 minutes to put Armenia ahead, however parity was restored four minutes before the break when Ararat Arakelyan put through his own net.

Into the second half and Armenia once again got their noses in front through GAIS Göteborg midfielder Levon Pachajyan.

The away side could smell victory, but on 72 minutes Moldova hit back for a second time through young forward Serghei Alexeev, as the game finished 2-2." http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.a...enutoId=714838

                "Moldova 2-2 Armenia
Moldova came back from a goal down on two occasions to deny Armenia a victory. Marcos Pizzelli opened the scoring midway through the first half but Moldova levelled before the break when Ararat Arakelyan put through his own goal. Levon Pachajyan gave Armenia the lead for the second time early in the second half but Serghei Alexeev restored parity with 18 minutes remaining."

Re: Armenia vs. Greece in friendly

                  Armenia just tied Greece 0-0.

I was able to watch the second half online... we actually played very well and made Greece look awful. We had two or three great opportunities to score and had dominating momentum for part of the second half. I was amazed at how well we played and I think it's one of Armenian football's greatest accomplishments.

Can't wait for 2010 World Cup Qualifying.
