I'm looking forward to the European Championships which kick off next week. I'm supporting whoever is playing against Turkey!

some armenians have no emphaty. if i said it i wud be fascist but they think they have right to say and feel these kind of things. even if u believe the genocide, turkey has built 1923 and nobody chose enver or telat with election on turkish public. and even after all those todays turkish ppl have nothing to do with u. and u cant hate with reasons according to historial, culturel or things like these. soooo racist

I watched that game. Georgia's golie is pretty bad. Both goals were quite "soft".

I shall be rooting for:

1. Team Italy (as I've always rooted for this team since I was a kid)
2. Spain (play a very attractive game and on paper seem to be the best --although alway a disappointment later as they lack a fighting spirit to go along with their talents)
3. Portugal (kind of like Spain)


The two non-european teams are France and Turkey.

I was also wondering why you put France next to the so-called land of Turkey as a non-European team? Do you refer to the huge number of ethnicly non-French ( mainly from Africa) players in their team?

And I'm for Italia too!

Yeah -- most of the other teams have players with naturalized citizens or imported from colonies, but the French team is a disgrace. I believe that one of the best things about these competitions is where nations bring their national character and style along. You have the Germans who are tough and resilient -- make up for their lacking of technical skill with a strong work ethic. Dutch -- the machine -- clockwork orange. Italians -- emotional and tempermental -- very strong technically but seem to play according their mood in ups and downs.

France used to be associated with a soft touch and a lot of flair. Today, I can't really tell much of a difference between France and Cameroon.
