ARTHUR ABRAHAM: TAYLOR WAS GOOD, BUT I WAS BETTER

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ King Arthur Abraham (31-0, 25 KOs) opened the Super
Six World Boxing Classic in style on Saturday night when he knocked
out Jermain Taylor (28-4, 17 KOs) with six seconds to go in the 12th
round. Fighting in front of a boisterous sell-out crowd of 14.200
fans at the famed o2 World in Berlin, Abraham connected with a huge
right to the head to send the former undisputed middleweight champion
down and out. "He was good, but I was better," Abraham said. "It was
a great fight in front of a great audience. Now I look forward to
    returning to America."

After a slow start, Abraham gained control of the contest and was ahead
on all three scorecards going into the final round. He hurt Taylor
with a big right in the ninth but the American superstar proved his
chin and continued. Just seconds before the final bell, King Arthur
then landed a devastating punch to clinch the first three points of
the tournament. "I had been waiting for a hole in his guard the whole
night," Abraham said. "I finally found it," Boxen.com reported.

ARTHUR ABRAHAM: I AM LEAVING FOR ARMENIA IN A WEEK

        PanARMENIAN.Net
        21.10.2009 16:53 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Last week Armenian boxer Arthur Abraham made
his first steps towards victory in Super Six World Boxing Classic
tournament in Berlin. Knocking out Jermain Taylor in the 12 round,
just 12 seconds before the final gong, king Arthur held a nice victory
over his rival. Abraham says he has perfectly studied all advantages
        and disadvantages of American boxer.

"I prepared long for this battle, studying all the strong and weak
points of my American rival. I knew his style better than my own, so
there was no unpleasant surprise on the ring. I am satisfied with the
outcome of single fight. To be frank, I didn't think about knocking
out my rival in the 12th round. But I caught the chance to hit him on
the chin, pushing him to the ground. I can say I did my maximum task."

"As regards fight with Dirrel, I'm not going to look upon it through
fingers under any circumstances. Of course, I'm going to take a few
weeks' rest and then prepare for competition with Andre. I have seen no
single combat so far. But naturally, after judges' registering defeat,
Frocha Direll will fret and fume. This is the second consecutive
fight Fiasco deprives the American of all chances to qualify to
semi-final. All six of us are strong sportsmen. It isn't as though
all box fans started labeling tournament as Champions' League,"
        sportsdaily.ru quotes Abraham as saying.

Sportsmen also said a couple of words about his plans to visit Armenia
        after the regular fight.

"I'm leaving for Armenia in a week. I don't want to lose touch with
my homeland. I have two passports - Armenian and German. I visit
Armenia 3-4 times a year, and every time find a warm reception there."

This guys attitude is what i have been talking about all along should be all diasporans attitude. He lives outside hayastan but his heart never left it and he constantly returns. This is the kind of relationship diasporans need to develope with Armenia. Yeh i know i know , you dont have relatives and friends like he does there but hell just go there for once and you might just change that to.

I don't have family or friends, like you said, but agree 100% with what you said.

I would love to go to Armenia, but it's not the fact that I dont want to go. It's more financial for my family than anything.

Arthur is looking for an Armenian wifey... so that's why he's hanging out in Armenia.

I think all the single ladies are heading to Istanbul, Moscow or some Arab city. I wish him luck.

We haven't been on a vacation in 5 year. That was the last time we went to Armenia. Even when we went we were hardly able to cover for me, my dad, and my grandma only.

Actually they are not, and there is an abundance of single ladies, something like 3 for every 1 male, since most males that are unmarried and in their late teens/early 20s are serving in the military. You would know this if you actually went to Armenia instead of sitting behind a computer and parrioting the negative news you've heard or read about Armenia.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
