This thread is dedicated to follow news of armenian players outside armenia.
Henrik Mkhitaryan is doing very good with in ukraine, he has 7 goals I checked on wikipedia. He is one of topscorers of ukrainian league which has likes of schevchenko playing in it.
Out of curiosity does he have sthg to do with hamlet mkhitaryan?

Yeh i think he is his son. There is a Armenian player in south america who is also awsome and i hope he will play for our nt to-he scores even more. Still no newys about the prospective coach who is a good one of armenian decent in south america. Both the coach and the player from south america are 100% armenian and would make a big difference if they joined our nt but niether one has commited yet and the deadline for the coach to make the decision is almost here.
    Hayastan or Bust.

Is this the South American player of Armenian descent that you were referring to, Haykakan?

      Joaquin Boghossian scored 11th goal

      10:54 / 12/12/2009

“Newell's Old Boys” scored a goal in the 18 round championship match of Aperture. This time talented footballer distressed the goalkeeper of “Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata”. Boghossian kicked a goal on 32 minute and scored the winning goal.

After this victory ''Newell's Old Boys'' ranks second in the standings with 39 points, whereas “Banfield” tops the table with 41 points.

The regular goal by Boghossian was the 11th one scored by him. Presumably, the enviable persistence of the forward will draw attention of Uruguayan national team's coaches.

Armenian national team seeks to get Boghossian's hook as well.

Top 10 goalscorers in argentinian league. Joaquin is third, looks like to me a world class striker. And he is only 22. His next destination should be europe. Hope he becomes a batistuta or crespo.Imagine a player of that calibre in our national team. We can start at least wining 4th 5th and 6th pot teams.

Re: Armenian Players Outside Armenian League

Yeh he is the one i was refering to. He has already said he would love to play for our nt and right after he said that Urugua asked him to play for their nt. I think he will play for us but i just got some bad news about Margarian who refused the offer ffa had extended to him. It was not about money - the deal breaker was ffa asking him to coach banants in addition to the nt and he said he cannot do either job well if he has to do both because each is a full time job. I think such a offer is strange and i guess i am not the only one. This coach is very much in demand and has numerous other offers- i hope ffa will make a new revised offer fast.

Hector cuper, a top coach coached georgia and did nthg. We need top players who can win games themselves. i wont be sad for markarian. But boghossian is definete need.Cant wait to see him in our shirt.

With Henrik and Joaquin we have some good offencive threats and our defence has a couple good young guys but needs another. I think a good coach does make a big difference and that is why i was hoping Markarian would be our coach. Porterfield took a xxxxty team and made magic happen and this proovs how a coach can make all the difference. The ffa has been active in recruiting players from abroad and it even did a good job when it got Portefield to coach (bad luck that he died) but i dont understand the offer they made to Markarian, he is pretty old and they want him to coach two teams? I wonder if ffa(rubo) really wanted this guy in the first place?

Maybe some FFA officials or government officials have ties to Banats and wanted to get Markaryan. Sport bodies are full of political bs too.

Here is another Armenian from Urugauy that FFA should try to get.

Some nice CV'S there. but alecko eskandarian has already played for USA.

I think no one comes close to Joaquin , 11 goals in 18 games in argentine league.Lionel Messi played for newells old boys before moving to barca..
Also Maradono played for them in 1993.Batistuta in 1988.

Joaquin being at 22, I think his next destination should be playing in europe.
I am hoping he soon plays for us..
