It can't be the results. Dumbass Jason Kidd didn't get along with him so it's the coach who goes. I don't really know if Scott was that good of a coach though.

Jason Kidd never gets along with his coaches...that's why this is his 3rd team...Byron will get his chance to prove it wasn't Jason Kidd (with the big headed kid) that took them to 2 NBA Finals...I have lost total respect for Jason

It's absolute travesty. In three seasons, he's the winningest coach the franchise has ever had. It isn't his fault they took on massive contracts and are paying for a player who is retired. The team is hamstrung for at least the next two seasons and what he did without all that much offensive talent the last two seasons made his team the cream of the eastern conference. Shame on Rod Thorne and Jason Kidd. I used to like this team

I couldn't agree with you more. Total loss of respect for that organisation and the people involved.

Especially the period where he had to deal with K-Mart's flagrent foul streak and rotten attitude.

i dont know but its up there, Started with Jim Cleamons (current Lakers assistant) in Dallas...

Byron is still a young, but promising coach...2 NBA Finals appearances say alot, even though it was in that LEastern Conference....
