A Palestinian-Armenian bodybuilder has become Israel’s Miss Fitness in the competition organized by the National Amateur Bodybuilders Association (NABBA)


Anoush Belian, from Jerusalem, became the first Palestinian female bodybuilder to participate and win an Israeli competition, Haaretz reports.


She lives in an Armenian district of Jerusalem with her family.

Anoush Belian is the first Palestinian woman to compete in a
bodybuilding competition

Anoush Belian recently won the title of Miss Fitness 2015 Israel.

Belian is not only the first Palestinian to win the Israeli
competition, but it is the first Palestinian woman to compete in the
sport of bodybuilding.

There are just ten months Belian lived a very normal life. She learned
English at the Armenian school in Jerusalem and worked in various
fields including teaching English. But last year, at age 27, the young
resident of East Jerusalem decided it was time to make a challenge.

His chosen field: weightlifting.

She joined a gym run by those who later become his personal trainer,
Saeed Basel and started a diet and intense training.

Training sessions of Belian have cut off from his family, friends
and even the kitchen of his mother, she had to abandon in the plan
she followed to achieve its objective: to participate in the Israeli
national competition Miss Fitness.

His family welcomed its decision with concern and some of his friends
felt this ridiculous decision. "Because of my slender body and muscles
that I have developed, people told me that I had a very masculine
look," she says with a broad smile to I24news in an interview.

First Armenian woman reaches top of Everest

Kharazova became the first Armenian woman to conquer Mount Everest,
Mountain Tourism and Rock-Climbing Federation of Armenia reports.

Kharazova climbed to the highest point on the Earth as a member of a
Russian team headed by Alexandra Abramova, who summited Mount Everest
for the seventh time.

According to Kharazova, the expedition to Everest can’t be compared
with any of her previous trips either in terms of the duration or the
psychological and physical difficulty.
