a single team could change sooo much within a year....probably some of USC's players arent gonna be eligible to compete again next Fall, just like happened to some UCLA players.....academically they're not eligible to compete in Fall 2004.......so even at UCLA,USC leve...the athletic department could only do soo much to get the players on the eligibility list.....it's pretty tough.....

        Your sentiment is echoed.

Have you seen games this season that didn't involved elite Western Conference teams? The NBA sucks, man.

USC had the highest graduation rate for football players of any team involved in a bowl game this year. They do a pretty good job academically. If you're curious, Fresno State and Oklahoma were tied for lowest.

Even if some of the freshmen don't qualify for next year, none of them are expected to be the keys for a NC run in 2004. Sure, some will play big roles but I don't think a freshman is going to make or break next season.

Amazing class, last year they got 1st in most publications, and this year they're saying the best class college fb has had in over a decade, maybe even since the 79' SC class. So how many NC's can they win in a row? 1 and counting.

You know, not all people on college sports teams are 'communications' majors or whatever. There were a few guys from the football team in my Organic Chemistry class, and they did better than most people in that class. You can't say anyone did their papers or they got 'special' tests since we all had the same exam period and they had the same one's we did... I know a lot of people who are bio majors or kinesiology majors who are on the b-ball team or track. They know that they need a degree that's not complete bullxxxx in case the whole sports thing doesn't pan out, and a lot of them are very intelligent people... The fact that they are so disciplined in sports is a big huge plus.

Anyway, USC rocks. I'd love for the team to keep getting National Champs titles and hopefully the other teams they play against will be quite good too, so that the games will be nail-biters, the edge-of-your-seat kind of fun stuff.

That might be nice, but I'm guessing they win at least 3 games next season by at least 40 points.
