  • LeBron James All Star Snub

There's a lot of attention being given to this, so I'm curious to see what you guys think. Should LeBron have made the team? I think he should have. He's become his teams go to guy, he's picked up his game as the season has gone along, and he might already be one of the most levelheaded, mature locker room leaders in the league, and that's saying a lot for a guy that's 19. He'll be the best player in the NBA within three seasons and he'll have the Cavs back in the playoffs next year.

It's easy to say that in the Leastern Conference Lebron deserved it. I think in some area's people are still way over their head in this guy. It would still be nice to have him go through a maturation process. I beleive some of his maturity has come from his coach, Paul Silas who is probably the best in reaching out to younger players.
But if you're going to put him in...how about Carmelo?

Let's just say at least this year the rookie game will be worth watching

If he played at the small forward position, he might have had a better chance of getting in. That's probably where the Cavs will put him eventually anyway, not that they don't have Darius Miles on the team anymore. They just need a legitimate point guard. The way his scoring has gone up, and the way he can falter sometimes in the fourth, shows that he would be better playing off the ball.

I really don't think he is overrated to any degree, though. He's less selfish than Garnett and he has moves that rival Kobe's. I've seen him in five games so far this year and he's never failed to amaze me. There isn't a person in the league that can cover him one on one with the possible exception of Ron Artest.

        I agree

I think carmelo deserved to be in the all star game more than lebron.. secondly I don't feel sorry for them because they're rookies. besides if the people wanted to see lebron play in the all star game they should've voted him in.

Read that and you'll see why it's not a snub.

I hate to sound like a complete loser, but I read every article in the times sports section every day. I already know about all the other snubs. All I can say is he's the best rookie I've seen since Tim Duncan.

I hope you don't think that makes him deserve to be an All-Star. You read EVERY article? I read every article on the teams I care about but neeeever would I read everything.

I just want to see him in the game because I want to see him go up against the best of the west. I've seen him completely take over games for spans of time, although rarely has he actually led his team to a victory over a quality team. I'd like to see what he could do if he were actually surrounded by teammates that had a clue.

And yes, I read every article.
