i'd be laughing if a team from canada won the NBA chamionship or the world series...

so would i... lol
we never claimed to be any good in basketball or baseball.
except that year the expos were gonna win the world series with practically no competition.... but they got screwed cuz of the strike! then theyve sucked harder each year since then & i havent watched a single game since.

i dont even know how toronto did it....oh yeah, non canadian players

dont even get me started on canadian hockey players... any american team who ever did any good in the NHL owes it to their top canadian players.. the only reason the kings scraped their way to the stanley cup finals was because of The Great One, Wayne Gretzky, the greatest athlete ever, who happens to be *CANADIAN*.... only to be completely destroyed by the Montreal Canadiens that year. because the poor guy had to play with a horrible hockey team which would have been playing golf by round 2 if it wasnt for his single-handed efforts.

well if the lightning win, it would be a very well-deserved victory & i would congradulate them for their awesome playing throughout the playoffs..

what with 2 young canadian superstar caliber players on that team, vincent lecavalier & martin st-louis, theyre rockin it!!

im sorry.. i thought this thread was about hockey.. but it always comes down to the money for u guys, doesnt it ... hah talk about the american melting pot at its best!!

they're making their money in the US, NO DUH the US taxes their income... but most importantly, they are canadian kids making USD's within an american organization... USD's that could have gone to american players, but i guess they just wouldnt be as good as our boys, now would they..... haha

maybe without the "american way", the NHL wouldnt be losing money what with all the useless sunbelt expansion teams which play home games to empty arenas.. lets see, atlanta, carolina, nashville, pheonix, anaheim... who's bright idea was it to give these cities hockey teams??

canada could be home to a perfectly successful hockey league, just with less teams, less players... better teams, better players.. & better games too. & we would bring the Stanley Cup with us too, just like good ole' Lord Stanley would have it we would just rather go take ur USD's from u.. haha

the canadian hockey league was just an example... it doesnt matter because hockey was invented in canada.. the NHL was started in canada... 51% of all players in the NHL are canadian... (compared to only 20% of teams) like, 98% of the best players in the NHL are canadian besides, we like coming to the states & kicking ur american asses cuz u cant even dream of playing hockey as well as our boyz
