As some of you might know, Armenia had finished first in their group in UEFA's under 17 championship (futbol), and moved on to the second round.
In the second round, we finished third out of four, and will therefore not move on to the next round.
Armenia lost its first game to England (the team that will move ahead) 2-0, beat Norway with an impressive 4-1 result, and lost to Iceland 2-1.
Bad news is: they should've at least beat Iceland.
Good news is: Edgar Manucharyan apparently had a very good showing in the England game, and scored against Norway. Some team managers in the stronger leagues of Europe should be taking a serious look at this kid.
Stay tuned for the under-19 ch'ship's second round (Armenia topped its group in this tournament too), which should take place in May. Manucharyan will be playing there too.
