  • Recreational Rock Climbing

For my Rec 80 class. Which is outdoor recreation and leisure activities. Our teacher introduced rock climbing. We went outdoors on a relatively easy one. And then suggested an indoor one across the street from campus.
The indoor one was a lot of fun. I'ts really fun hanging on to little pieces with your fingers and trying to go higher. And then you have the harness, so you can just jump off the wall.

Has anyone gone rock climbing? And is there any good places in LA? Also I hope wonder if they have this in Armenia, does anyone know?

I did a little in the Nantahala valley in Tennessee, and I'll sometimes climb some rocks out at Joshua Tree when I go out there. Nothing big time, though, just kid's play. Joshua Tree is probably the best place to go close to LA. The best places I've seen were all close to the New Mexico/Arizona border. There are some rocks out there you wouldn't believe.

Yeah that's real rock climbing although it may not be as high as what pros do. If I were trained in setting up a line and rope and all that I'd probably do it more. But I have no clue on those things. So indoor rock climbing is my best choice. It's fun, I heard there's a rock climbing gym at the UCLA campus. Anyone know?
