Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Edgar! Edgar! Edgar!

17 year old Armenian soccer sensation Edgar Manucharyan will arrive in Amsterdam tonight (he's probably already there) and will most probably sign a contract with the famous Ajax Club.

This is huge for Armenian soccer. Probably the most famous club an Armenian has ever played for (if the deal does indeed go through).

Cross your fingers guys (even those who don't care )

Also, FC Pyunik's African goaltender Apula Edel Bete should sign with Les Girondins de Bordeaux of the French Premier League. He's also 17 years old I think, and has also played for Armenia's National Team. Whether or not a non-Armenian should be on the squad is a different issue, but this is good news nonetheless.

    Here are some important facts:

    -Club Ajax is famous

    -Amsterdam is in Europe

    -soccer=european football

-Apula Edel Bete is not an armenian name.

And yes, I do cross my fingers for Edgar.

Good luck to Edgar. But your forgeting Youri Djorkaeff World Champion played for Inter. Although he now plays for Kaiserslautern (Germany). Lets hope for Edgar. We need more Armos in soccer

Been a while since Djorkaeff left Kaiserlautern. He played for Bolton for a year or two, and I THINK he now plays for Glascow. Not sure though.

In that case, Alain Boghosian played for Parma. Edgar, however, plays for Armenia, and that makes all the difference.

!eek, brilliant observation about Edel Bete not being an Armenian name. He's actually African (don't know which country) but has lived and played in Yerevan since he's 14 or something. And I think he even speaks the language. Anywho, I disagree on him being in our National Squad..but eh..

Tiko, a poster from xtratime (Armeni) told me on MSN that during the game vs. Romania, he was screaming at the other players in Armenian. "etdegh inchoo kangnel ek? Ari stegh!" or something like that. I find it quite cute.

Hiya guys I am an Ajaxfan and i like to get some more info in Edgar .
Which I can tell is that Edgar made quite an impression at Ajax , assistent Ruud Krol ( you might kow him from the World Cup Final in 74 or 78) said that Edgar was a good player on trainings .
Tonight Edgar will play in a friendly match against Barcelona , only Ronaldinho will be abcent against Ajax.
It's very rare that a young player who''s on proof immediately goes to train with the fisrt Ajax team , mostly they have to proof them selves in Ajax 2.
Some player from ajax 2 told that it's likely that Edgar will get a contract.

Ajax is famous for its young talent and letting young foreign players devellop .

Players like Benedict Mc Charty (porto) , Jari Litmanen , Ahmed Hossam ( Mido) (As Roma), Zlatan Ibrahimovic(Juventus) had their breaktrough at the Ajax ground.

In another topic the topicopener said that Edgar might be better of with bordeaux , I think this is totally wrong.
The French leauge is a bit stronger then the dutch but nevertheless , Ajax always plays at tournaments in Europe , they have many good trainers and accomodations .
Ajax mostly plays Championsleauge , Bordeaux fails to qualify for that.
At Ajax young talents get a chance , Ajax was the team that had the youngest team of average age in the Chamions Leauge.
              Aborah 17
              Babel 17
              De Mul 17
All made their debut at the age of 17 this seizon.
If you'are good enough you get a chance .

Anothet thig is that Ajax lacks good strikers and wingers.

Sonck formar topscorer from Belgium will leave this winter,Zlatan IBrahimovic already left.
Yannis Anastasiou isn't good enough ,and Ryan Babel just 18 is a good player but Ajax will need another striker.
We also need a good leftwinger because most of our leftwingers aren't good enough.
Romours have it that Angelos Charisteas (greek international) might come .
Ajax even wanted to buy a Bordeaux striker Chamakh but they asked 12 million Euro's , if Edgar leaves for Bordeaux he won't play because Chamakh is the priviliged striker at Bordeaux.

Ok now some questions hope you can answer some

What are the main skills of Edgar?

Is Edgar a technical player ?

Is he arrogant or down to earth?

He can shoot with both right and left foot , but how is his shot when he shoots with right .

Could a play as a leftwinger ( like Arjen Robben does for chelsea) .

Could he play as a right winger ?

Could a play as a shadow striker behin the main striker?

What'is the height of this player ?

When he's against defenders , does he fall quickly or do the defenders have some difficulty to get him to the ground ?

Is he penaltykiller? How's his free kick?

How did he play in International games for Armenia ?

Can he play in the 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 system which Ajax plays ?

Can he read the game and forsee things ?

I will tell you alter how he has played in he game against Barca tonight .If he starts at the pitch.

Btw Youri Djorkaeff plays for Bolton Wanderes now , in the English premier leauge if I am not mistaking .
