  • Armenian U19

The Armenian U19 team has made it to the finals of the UEFA U19 Championship. Our group is France, England and Norway. Our first match is in less than two hours against Norway, if we manage to finish in the top 2 we will go into the semi-finals and from there to the finals. Eurosport is not broadcasting any of our qualifying matches but once we make it into the semis those matches will be fully covered. Cross your fingers for our boys and bring out the support!

      thanks guys wow

      Armenian first
Armenia booked their berth among the last eight nations by topping Group 4 in the Elite round, denying Belgium, Italy and Hungary and becoming their country's first representative at the finals of any international tournament. That success was attributed to the squad's cohesion and Petrosyan is looking for more of the same over the next fortnight. He discussed his side's chances with uefa.com.

thats awsome looks good for armenian soccer

      preety hard group

good luck to them and is there anywhere i can purchase the jackets there wearing

Edgar Manucharyan is quite amazing. Voted best player of Armenian soccer. He got signed up with Ajax. He might be the only chance that Armenia could qualify for the World Cup

I would kill to get my hands on one of those jackets, trust me ive been searching for a while.

Anyway. Armenia lost hte first match 0-2 to Norway, we then drew 1-1 with England, both teams had lots of chances to take the game, we had a great chance at the end of the match with an open run by Petrosyan which ended in a blocked shot by the goalkeeper. Yesterday, we lost a very close match with France 0-1 and were knocked out of the tournament. Regardless, this was quite an accomplishment and we came a long way and did not dissapoint in our first ever finals appearance. Look forward to next year, only 5 guys are currently 19 and wont be able to participate next year. The rest including Manucharyan will be back next year.

Well England and France made it to the semis from our group and they both won their semi final matches against Serbia and Germany respectively so now they are the two teams in the final, so it seems to be a bit of a consolation that the two strongest teams in the tourney were both in our group and we managed to draw and lose by one point only respectively. So yes Ari jan, i am very optimistic as well, the most immediate result i am looking forward to now is some of our young boys being picked up by big Western European clubs who were heavily scouting during the tournament.

As for the jerseys, funny you mention it, my grandma is in Armenia now and before she left i had tasked her with finding me an NT jersey over there, i just talked to her this morning and apparantly it is quite hard even there, but i had heard this before and she confirmed that Hummel the Danish company which supplies our NT and Pyunik kits is opening a store in Yerevan sometime in August so i am optimistic for that.

                cheers boys.
