Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • NFL Week 3 Preview

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Washington at Houston
Mark Brunell and the Washington Redskins travel to Reliant Stadium in Houston to face the Texans on Sunday, Sept. 24. The Redskins finished 10-6 last season and made the playoffs as a wild card team, and many sportsbooks have the Redskins listed as favorites to challenge for the NFC East Division. The Texans are hoping to improve on a 2-14 campaign in 2005, and many sportsbooks believe they will finish ahead of the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South Division. Look for the Redskins to be sportsbook favorites over the Texans.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
First year coach Eric Mangini leads his New York Jets into Ralph Wilson Stadium to play the Bills in Week 3 of the NFL season. Mangini has chosen Chad Pennington to be the starting quarterback, and Jets fans are hopeful that Pennington is fully recovered from off season shoulder surgery. The Bills have settled on J.P Losman as their starting quarterback, which isn’t necessarily a good thing. Many sportsbooks have the Jets and Bills projected to finish last in the AFC East, so this game could be a real snoozer. Look for the Bills to be slight favorites at home.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Green Bay at Detroit
A traditional NFC North rivalry will once again be played out in Week 3 of the NFL season, as the Green Bay Packers visit the Detroit Lions. Brett Favre has returned for another season of quarterbacking the Packers, but given the sorry state of the offense, Favre could be in for another long year. Lions Head Coach Rod Marinelli has turned the starting QB reins over to Jeff Garcia, who should be a considerable upgrade over Joey Harrington. Many sportsbooks have the Lions and Packers projected to finish in the bottom half of the NFC North Division. Detroit will be sportsbook favorite to win this game at home.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Jacksonville at Indianapolis
The Jacksonville Jaguars face a stiff early season test in Week 3 as they travel to the RCA Dome to play Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. Jacksonville finished 12-4 last year, and should once again challenge the Colts for the AFC South title if QB Byron Leftwich can stay healthy. Manning and WR Marvin Harrison are a prolific passing combination, but the Colts running game may suffer now that Edgerrin James has signed with Arizona. Indianapolis is a solid sportsbook favorite to win the AFC South, and will be sportsbook favorites in this matchup with the Jags.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Chicago at Minnesota
Two of the league's toughest defenses will take center stage in the Metrodome on Sunday, Sept. 24 when the Vikings play host to the Chicago Bears. Chicago’s defense only surrendered 202 points last season and carried the Bears to the NFC North division title, while Minnesota has revamped their defense this offseason via free agency and the draft. Points could be few and far between in this matchup, so sports betting fans may want to consider the under number in any over/under bets. Chicago is still the sportsbook favorites to win the division in 2006 and will be sportsbook favorites over the Vikes on the road.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Tennessee at Miami
Head Coach Jeff Fisher leads the Tennessee Titans to south Florida to face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 24. Titans fans are wondering which quarterback is going to lead the team while Vince Young is in training – Billy Volek or Kerry Collins. Regardless of who the starting QB is, the Titans have many more holes to fill and are projected by many sportsbooks to finish last in the AFC South division. Miami starting QB Daunte Culpepper is hoping to prove he is fully recovered from his knee injury, while RB Ronnie Brown looks to fill the shoes of injured Ricky Williams. Miami is always tough to play at Dolphins Stadium and they should be sportsbook favorites in this game.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
The last time the Bengals and Steelers squared off, Bengals QB Carson Palmer was being wheeled off the field with a shredded knee, and the Steelers were trouncing the Bengals 31-17. Palmer appears to be fully recovered from his knee surgery, while Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger claims to be fully recovered from his offseason motorcycle accident. With a healthy Palmer running the offense, the Bengals could once again challenge the Steelers for the AFC North title. Many sportsbooks are projecting the Steelers as the favorites to win the division, and they should be the sportsbook favorites to beat the Bengals at home.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Carolina at Tampa Bay
When the Carolina Panthers travel to Raymond James Stadium to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Sept. 24, points may be at a premium. Both Carolina and Tampa Bay’s defenses rank among the league leaders in fewest yards allowed per game. Carolina finished 11-5 last season and is the early sportsbook favorite to win the NFC South division, with Tampa Bay right behind them. Carolina should be a slight sportsbook favorite in this matchup.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Baltimore at Cleveland
New starting QB Steve McNair leads the Baltimore Ravens into Cleveland to play the Browns in Week 3 of the NFL season. McNair will stabilize the QB position and upgrade their passing attack, while the Ravens are hoping that Jamal Lewis can return to his All-Pro form of a few years ago. Charlie Frye has assumed the starting QB role for Cleveland, and the Browns hope that TE Kellen Winslow has fully recovered from injury. Baltimore is projected by many sportsbooks to finish in the middle of the AFC North, while the Browns are pegged to finish last. Sportsbook odds will favor the Ravens on the road at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    New York Giants at Seattle
Eli Manning, Tiki Barber and the New York Giants travel to Qwest Field on Sunday, Sept. 24 to face the defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks. The Giants surprised many sports betting fans by going 11-5 last season and winning the NFC East Division title. The Giants defense will have a difficult time stopping Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander, who scored 27 touchdowns last season, and QB Matt Hasselbeck, who passed for 3,459 yards and 24 touchdowns. The Seahawks are many sportsbooks’ favorites to win the NFC West division, and they will be sportsbook favorites to beat the Giants at home.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    St. Louis at Arizona
Marc Bulger, Steven Jackson and the St. Louis Rams travel to Cardinals Stadium to face Arizona in week 3 of the NFL season. With Marshall Faulk out with a knee injury, Jackson has become the go-to guy in the Rams backfield, while young WR Kevin Curtis is emerging as a new deep threat for the Rams passing attack. The Cardinals offensive firepower is impressive, with Edgerrin James running the ball and Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald catching passes from Kurt Warner. Both Arizona and St. Louis are projected by many sportsbooks to challenge Seattle for the NFC West title, but the Cardinals should be sportsbook favorites in this game.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Philadelphia at San Francisco
Donovan McNabb leads the Philadelphia Eagles into Monster Park to play the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3 of the NFL schedule. McNabb appears to be fully recovered from his sports hernia injury, and now must prove that he can win without Terrell Owens to throw to. 49ers QB Alex Smith suffered through a dismal rookie season but has shown signs of improvement in his sophomore season. Many sportsbooks have picked Philadelphia as the primary challenger to the Giants for the NFC East title, and the Eagles will be sportsbook favorites over the 49ers in this game.

    Sunday, Sept. 24
    Denver at New England
The AFC West Division champion Denver Broncos travel to Gillette Stadium to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Broncos offense, led by QB Jake Plummer and new WR Javon Walker, can move the ball up and down the field, and Denver’s defense is one of the league’s best. The Patriots are led by All-Pro QB Tom Brady on offense and LB Tedy Bruschi on defense, and will face a stiff challenge from the Broncos. Both teams are early sportsbook favorites to win their divisions, but New England should be slight sportsbook favorites to beat the Broncos in this game.

    Monday, Sept. 25
    Atlanta at New Orleans
The NFL Week 3 Monday night matchup features the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints. All eyes will be on the Falcons QB Michael Vick and Saints RB Reggie Bush, as the talented playmakers look to lead their teams to victory. Even with the addition of Bush, the Saints are sportsbook favorites to finish last in the NFC South division, while Vick and the Falcons are projected by many sportsbooks to finish second in the NFC South division. Atlanta will be too tough for the Saints to handle, and they should be solid sportsbook favorites over the Saints.
