Pyunik just came away with a 2-0 victory against Ireland's Derry City in Yerevan (I was at the game). Now we are going to face a tough Ukranian team and if we win we than might have to face Valencia or even Milan.

I was at that game too... was it just me or was buying the tickets extremely annoying (I think you know what I'm talking about)? The game was well worth it, though.The Derry City players were staying at the same hotel as me and they actually told me about the game one day before, thats how me and my friends ended up going. I ended up getting drunk with the Derry City players after the game... they ended up giving me a signed shirt and practice shorts. They even knew I was cheering for Pyunik, but they were just cool like that.
During the course of the drinking, a couple of their players got one of their really old coaches on the floor of the lobby and stripped him of all his clothes.... so here was this old, drunk, completely naked Irish guy running around laughing in the lobby of Armenia Hotel at 3am, and me, all the Irish and a couple of employees are laughing our asses off while the rest of the Armenians are staring with very serious looks on their faces. A priceless moment indeed.
Too bad Pyunik lost the next round. But man, they got pretty close to the big dance. With the national team also on a good run, this is a very progressive year for Armenian soccer.
