Website wont accept JPG files for profiles, tells me they are PNG or GIF...

Im always on here a lot so i update my pics often. This time i have 4 jpg files and whenever i go to upload them, i get a message that says something like "cannot upload GIF or PNG files." I am not uploading these. I saved my JPG files in a standard format, not progressive, web resolution, RGB color, theres the ".jpg" extension after the file, high quality, not maximum quality. I saved my previous pictures like this and have not had difficulties until today. Any recomendations for me or anything you can find wrong with the file transfer is appreciated I have promised someone new pics and am currently disapointing them. Thank you -JOHN

ALSO:

I just tried to upload a file that isnt JPG, PNG, or GIF and it gae me the same message. Im assuming the A.Club FTP is turning down all files including JPG files.
