My suggestion would be the revival of the infamous flamers forum. I think it allowed us to get rid of a lot of tension.

In a perfect world, it would be unmoderated. However, to not scare away new posters, I'd suggest that the flamers' forum should be open only to those who have over (for example) 500 posts. This way, the participants would have been around long enough to not get offended or whatnot.

So, what is the opinion of my former colleagues of the Politburo?

Well, as I think you know, we have made this suggestion. I'll make it again. I think it's a great idea.

Well, well... Baron, I am thinking papa Bush as I am reading your post. If you are unsure of what I mean think: retirement and post governance.

Haha! I JUST MISS THE POWER!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED IT!!!! I CRAVE IT!!!!

I was thinking more along the lines of Lech Walesa. If you are unsure of what I mean, think: solidarity, Polish people, standing up to the mighty Politburo.

Is that a "personal" innuendo? Remember: the flame forum is not open yet, criticism of authority is still moderated.

That's ironic ... bringing back the "flaming" forum in order to releave the "gay" bashing?
            this post = teh win.

whatever you guys wanna do is fine, but i think it's a tad bit hypocritical for a moderator to get up and post a speech about the members being all polite and respectful and well-mannered when some of the moderators themselves lack tact and sensitivity AND discretion

can't post stupid, tacky, aggressive comments one day and be all 'mature' and 'professional' the next day if you wanna be a good moderator.

to sum it up: a moderator needs to be fair and mature!! hey we're all flawed and we learn, so there's always room for improvement.

Something tells me that you're just itching to get that flamers' forum.
