What happened to the Parties forum

I recently posted a Halloween party announcement in a Halloween thread, and the mods seem to have moved it to the Parties USA West forum, however, the parties forums no longer appear in the main forum page, the only way to find the thread is by searching for keywords from it.

The party forums were deleted due to lack of interest. You can repost your party announcement in the general talk area.

Uh, wrong forum there boss. I don't think there will be a meetup soon, everybody is busy with school.
