You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan: Azeri special forces attempted on my life

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ “I want to tell Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev that I am alive and I will continue my activity. Aliyev sponsors international terrorism and if I die he will be the only man to blame for it,” Armenian expert and political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

“The Azeri special forces, who attempted on my life, had been instructed or at least encouraged by Ilham Aliyev,” he said.

On April 22, a bullet hit the iron-barred window of the expert’s house in Ptghni settlement not far from Yerevan. “The man detained by Armenian law enforces is not a citizen of Armenia. His testimony proved my suspicions that the order was received from Azerbaijan,” Melik-Shahnazaryan said.

The Armenian expert doesn’t rule out that Azeri special forces will hunt after Armenian political scientists and prominent journalists.

“Azerbaijan launched a new stage of “struggle” against Armenia. It took up the Israeli scheme, according to which any enemy of Israel should be killed, no matter where he lives. They threatened me and my family if I don’t stop my activities,” he said, adding that upon completion of the investigation he will bring a suit against Aliyev to the European Court of Human Rights.

Earlier, Baku just sponsored international terrorism, now it acts independently. Bin Laden’s fellow fighter, who detained in Germany, testified that al-Qaeda leader visited Baku 86 times during past 10 years. We should not forget about hundreds of Afghan mujahids who fought against Armenians in Karabakh. Furthermore, all drivers of Iranian trucks entering Armenia are Azeris by origin and have Azeri passports. It’s quite possible that besides their direct job, they act as scouts,” Melik-Shahnazaryan emphasized.

Karabakh conflict will be resolved through war, but not during next 10-15 years

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Bishkek protocol on ceasefire between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan is the first document which officially mentions of Karabakh as party to conflict, political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

“The protocol was signed by Defense Ministers of NKR, Azerbaijan and Armenia as the guarantor of Karabakh’s security. Thus, any future peaceful agreement should be concluded by Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. Nevertheless, I suppose that the conflict will be finally resolved through war but not during next 10-15 years. Everything depends on Azerbaijan’s policy, its energy sources and the world powers’ interest in war,” the Armenian expert said.

Treachery must be cut down to its roots - Zoravar Antranik Ozanian
      --------------------------------
Armenian Prosecutor General's office: "Azerbaijan attempts to order the murder of Armenian political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan"
      06 October 2008 [10:31] - Today.Az
The criminal case on the fact of the attempted murder of famous Armenian political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan has been passed to the court, said the press service for the Armenian prosecutor general's office.

"The investigation found out that in early April of 2008 Aghababyan along with his friend Kondzhoryan met with some Akhan, Azerbaijani native, in the Marneuli region of Georgia.

During the meeting, Akhan offered these two Armenians to kill Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan for $10,000 for his critical speeches on the internal and external policy of Azerbaijan and the leadership of this country in press and on websites", says the statement.

The Armenian prosecutor general's office states that Aghababyan and Kondzhoryan agreed to the proposal and "received a whole of $500 from him for realization of their criminal intentions".

As is reported in mid April of 2008 they managed to learn the cell phone number of Melik-Shahnazaryan, the place where he works and the fact that he also teaches at the Anania Shiarkatsi university. The killers also learned where the political scientist lives.

"After holding all preliminary works, they took a gun with six cartridges from a man Karen by name promising to return it. Kondzhoryan was holding the gun", said the press service.

Reports say that on April 23 of 2008 Aghababyan and Kondzhoryan headed for the Ptgni village of Kotay. There, Aghababyan undertook the control over the area and Kondzhoryan, taking the gun and crossing the fence, came up to the window of the living-room and from a distance of three meters he fired at Melik-Shahnazaryan, standing by the window. But the fire hit the metallic treillage and changed its direction.

Thus, the criminals were not lucky in killing the political scientist. "Yet from April 29 until May 7, they periodically called to Melik-Shahnazaryan, threatening to kill his family members and demanding from him not to make announcements and publications and to spread information about his death via the mass media", said the press service.

As is reported, Melik-Shahnazaryan recorded these calls on his mobile phone and they were further transferred to the lazer disk. This disk was taken off him on May 9.

According to the Armenian general prosecutor's office, "while decoding the tape, it was revealed that Aghababyan and Kondzhoryan intended to kill Melik-Shahnazaryan in order to stop his activity as a public figure".

On the basis of these evidences, Aghababyan is charged under articles 34-305 (attempted murder of the state, political or public figure, committed in order to stop his activity) and paragraph 2 of article 235 (illegal purchase, sale, storing, transportation and holding of a gun, committed by a group of persons by preliminary agreement). Kondzhoryan is being searched.

On October 3 of 2008, the criminal case was sent to the Northern criminal court for consideration in details.

The criminal case on Kondzoryan's, Akhan and Karen will be considered separately. Operative search measures are underway.
