So it must be true - especially since prestigious sites like geocities and angelfire have chosen to host it.

Aren't you embarassed at posting page after page of absolute garbage? Why don't you rename the thread "Turkology" - all you need to do is change "Armenia" to "Turkey" and "Armenian" to "Turk". That's all the difference between your fake "Armenology" and Turkey's fake "Turkology".

If your successful, I'll dedicade a parade for you.
Won't happen. I have too much contempt for you. It isn't my job to teach you that the World isn't flat, and that the Moon isn't made of cheese, and all the other facts that any sensible person should know to be true. If you don't know those self-evident truths by now, you never will - and, anyway, you all just ssoooh love the idea of a flat world and a cheezy moon and all the childish self-delusions that fill this thread (and this forum).

when studying the pre-history of the near east and Armenian highlands, We first place together a range of historical, archeological and linguistic facts, statistics and evidence, We then secondly extrapolate relevant information and finally construct well rounded theories and hypothesis which attempt to link the said information, and provide an primary/alternate readings to events, people and geographies. there are no definitive facts in this research area, only evidence-based theories which can only hope to guide us in the right direction.

please understand that a number of historians, linguistics and archeologists, have studied the pre-history of the near east and Armenian Highlands, and have to varying degrees supported the information that 'Armenian' has posted.

all 'Armenian' hopes to do is open the doors to the mainstream western community (Armenian diaspora) to the already established academic discipline of Armenology, and provide well-researched theories to histories which have for the most part been either poorly understood, politically corrupted and most common of all - simply ignored. i do not quite understand why the above information is hard for you to swallow, but do not be ignorant and simply dismiss decades and centuries of study as some kind of nationalist propaganda. it is nothing of the sort.

It doesn't make sense the way you're carrying on. Honestly.
I do not see any intelligence at work in a person who approves of someone calling James Russell, a distinguished and world-renowned professor, "filth", and who removes a post protesting at that slur by claiming that it "incites tensions over nothing". But lots of you here seem to love your delusions, and have a rabid hatred for anyone, be they well-known professors or just ordinary posters, who "incites tensions" by revealing those delusions for what they are.

            .
            It's called pseudo-science, pseudo-history, pseudo-archaeology.

all 'Armenian' hopes to do is open the doors to the mainstream western community (Armenian diaspora) to the already established academic discipline of Armenology, .
And that's called corruption. Or as Professor Russell put it "all of your attitudes seem to me to reflect a kind of intellectual and spiritual perversion which I think is very dangerous".

The clash over James Russell's historiography

Because Bell-the-cat wishes to argue about this, and I wish to preserve the purpose of Armenian's Armenology thread, I've decided to create this thread.

                Re: Հայաբանութիւն - Armenology

Every theory is for someone and for some purpose. That goes for the bs which you claim is more "scientific" and/or more academic than Armenian's postings.

If you were more intelligent about this you would have been more subtile in your approach to this topic and the one on a possible war between Armenia and azerbaijan. However, there is nothing you can do now to prove to us that you are not here to push some anti-Armenian agenda.

Say what you want about Armenian or his postings but the very same accusations which you level against him is more true for your personage and your intellectual (using the term very loosely) lineage than his.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
