Cheating is against the law of marriage. If you really love and respect the person next to you, then why to cheat?

Anonymouse
08-07-2003, 12:08 PM
Well this isn't just about marriage.

Maybe I should have clarified it.

Overall, if you are "with someone", would you or not?

clubbin714
08-07-2003, 12:13 PM
I do it all the time. What about you?

Anonymouse
08-07-2003, 12:23 PM
I am not "with someone".

If I was, I would not do it as I like to think of myself as a man of ethics.

sSsflamesSs
08-07-2003, 12:28 PM
Never.

If I had the urge to cheat, then that's a reason to break up. I would never cheat if I was "with someone".

Anonymouse

Clubbin would.

I think he would cheat on the girl with his workout routine.

What if you were just dating someone and you were not in a serious relationship?

Anonymouse
08-07-2003, 12:38 PM
I don't know, these things are so elastic.

I guess if you feel you have no "bond" or "love" and it's just "dating" or some casual thing I think it would be okay if you go out with someone else.

At least I think so.

sSsflamesSs
08-07-2003, 12:43 PM
Elastic they are.

If both parties agree that seeing other people is OK, then that's that.

But this brings up the issue of miscommunication. What if your perception of how devoted the other person is to the relationship is biased? What if you're wrong in what you think s/he thinks?

My fever's acting up. Anon, I'm SO weak. :D

I think cheating on someone is the must F*CKED up thing ever. Very disrespectful. There is nothing wrong with seeing other people at the same time, but when you call them your girlfriend, or wife, then no messing around with other people is allowed.

Aphrodit3
08-07-2003, 04:36 PM
No! I take loyalty very seriously and I think it cuts both ways. If I was ever compelled to cheat, I'd take that as a sign to break up (as Flames pointed out). There's also the issue of moral standards...

People with no values and morals like to cheat. Like I said before, if you are with someone that you like, you love and respect, then there is no excuse to cheat PERIOD! Cheaters are xxxxxxxs and xxxxs 8) Im against cheating and if i ever find out my future love cheating on me then he is loser an L  because he lost a precious gem like ME 8)

ok listen up people, if you are talking to a girl for a few days or so its ok to go and have sex with another or mess around. NOW, if its been a month that youve known this person, that means that they are already emotionally attached to you (well thats how it is with me anyway lol) so now you guys havent discussed the dating other people thing yet but if she finds out youve slept with someone else after a month of knowing you , she will be upset. if its been a few months, then now either its going somewhere and you guys are looking for a relationship or by now its over with and you got your fun out of it. AHHHHH my phone is pissing me off...ok for some reason i cant concentrate lolol, ill repost later with a good long thorough post. too many distractions :x

i agree, 95 % people that talk like they know a lot about anything usually dont know anything about it or have little knowledge on the topic. But just know that there are those 5 % out there that always talk like they do know, and they really do. just a heads up for future reference that while most people bullxxxx, you will come across a few that dont but look like they do.

People cheat...
it's the animal in a human being...
at some point in any relationship, people have those desires that have no connection whatsoever with their emotional selves... and it's hard to admit, but we all get those urges from time to time...
just think about what you've heard about people... think about all the cheaters you know about... starting from Bill Clinton, ending with your friend's boyfriend or girlfriend...
(Kobe's not the only celebrity that cheated, he's the only celebrity that got COUGHT cheating)
sorry to disappoint you guys.. just tryin to be real...
oh and just as a side note... I didn't say what I said cuz I've been cheated on lol... not yet, thank God...

Everyone doesn't cheat.

Most people do but not everyone.

That is an unsubstantiated assertion of you trying to make things cliche. Get over it. Some of us actually regard ourselves and pride ourselves on being able to look for higher ends then our animality.

are you suggesting you're gonna get married and then you're gonna see some J.Lo ish ass, and you're not even gonna THINK about slapping it?
cuz I mean you'd be cheating even if you just IMAGINED yourself in bed with that hot thing...which is pretty common...
it's the thought that counts my friend...
yeah I know, now you're gonna tell me "i changed what I just said" and that thinking is not cheating...
still... how about this?
are you saying that you're not gonna touch ANY girl from the day you're "serious" with a girl until you die?

Like I said.

You can see it, drool over it, imagine it, do whatever I don't care.

But once those thoughts turn into actions, then you are guilty.

I'm suggesting exactly that. I will be married and I will be with one person.

Jahannam, Anon is right. Not everyone cheats, and whereas the majority of us probably experience the urge to at some point or another, not all of us act on those urges. That's what separates humans from other animals.

Imagination does not constitute cheating! That's just bullxxxx. Our minds are the most private things we have, and the hardest things to control (our thoughts). But actions are another story. If you can't control your actions, than you're screwed (no pun intended).

I thought this is where we actually differ from animals; our capacity for moral judgement, emotions and such. Hmm...how disappointing.

I honestly don't care if most of society cheats. I won't cheat, no matter how socially acceptable it is. I never follow mainstream crap anyway...

On an organismic level yes we are mammals, but again you shouldn't take it literally that we are animals.

Accepting such a notion we would and should throw out all sense of reason and ethics and morals our of the window, forget our minds and purely think with our bodily instincts and walk around xxxxing and maiming anything and everything.

xBaron Dants
08-16-2003, 03:23 PM
I disagree Jahannam. Thinking about having sex with another person shouldn't be considered as cheating. The fact that you're strong enough to not act up on your thoughts is what makes you loyal. And yes, I am one of those who wouldn't cheat.

While the animal in all of us gives us those urges, it's the human in us that should make us resist the temptation.

Why so bitter Flames? Men treating you rotten lately. After a study conducted in Australia, women were found to be more emotional than man. The only emotion that they did not surpass that of men is pride. Dont be proud to be a woman, the averages were the same. Men and women feel pride just as frequently and just as intensly. Stop with this, "all men are evil" bid. It makes you look like a 2nd grader in a game of dodgeball trying to prove that girls are better than boys. Pathetic.

Actually you'll find that whoever you spend the rest of your life with will think about sleeping with other women.

The funny part is, usually it progresses with marriage, leading me to believe that the cause of such thoughts is a result of the wife.
