I know an Armenian that married an American guy and I see how difficult it is for the couple. They both want to have a baby but they have no idea how to raise the child. Whether the child will be Armenian or raised in an American manner. The baby will have the American last name and it'll probably end up being American. That was exactly what I was referring to. It's incredibly difficult because you have two completely different cultures that you have to juggle and to give the child a taste of both. I just feel that if we marry within our own race, it'll be easier and better for us because the Armenian population will spread. I always get excited when I see Armenian kids because they're our next generation. My philosophy is this: You can give birth to an Armenian child but you have to raise your child to be "Armenian." Some Armenians might prefer to raise their kids in American lifestyle, so in order to increase our community, all Armenian children should be raised as Armenians. That's just my opinion
