Hallo Everybody,
I am GIS hobbyist and work on history of Armenian, Georgian and Syriac churches in Turkey.
1) At the moment I work on database of Christian sacred architecture in Turkey. Preliminary database can be downloaded here http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile291...-monuments.htm as a KMZ file for Google Earth.
2) I am searching for a detailed map of Nagorno Karabakh. The only map I have can be seen here: http://www.zxxxinek.info/FILES_4_WEB/artsakh.jpg (please, copy and paste tle link into your web browser, direct link does not work from your web site) and can be downloaded here as a KMZ file for Google Earth here: http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile291...a-Karabakh.htm . Geographical grid fits well but not towns and villages. I came through hundreds of web sites but did not find any better.
3) I found an excellent map that includes Armenian monuments - you can see the map here: http://www.zxxxinek.info/FILES_4_WEB/GreatArmenia.jpg (please, copy and paste) . But the map is too small, that I cannot identify any monuments and I am not able even to read publishers data to ask for a bigger and better file.
Please, feel free to download KMZ files.
I would appreciate very much your help in search for Nagorno Karabakh map and original map file of Great Armenia.
Yours sincerely,
Vladimir
