I found a very interesting piece which I'm not sure has been posted before, written by Dr. Armen Ayvazyan called "The Armenian Rebellion of the 1720s and the Threat of Genocidal Reprisal". It covers topics such as Armenian self-rule in Kapan (Syunik) and Artsakh, as well as describing the shape of the Armenian armed forces during this period, as well as the effect of the Armenian liberation movement in neighboring empires such as the Ottoman Empire and Persian Empire. It sheds light on an often overlooked but important part of our early modern history.

Thanks for posting this! For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
