İşğalı altında olan və faunası məhv edilmiş ərazilər
In the Fauna section of the Azerbaijani Wikipedia article on the Republic of Azerbaijan:
"Regions under occupation and whose fauna has been destroyed" (referring to the territory of Artsakh)

    ~

Right. Last time I went to Artsakh, the fauna seemed fine to me. Ironically, the only damage to fauna in Artsakh come from the mines planted by the Azerbaijanis.

Wikipedia's uniqueness is that it is the world's most efficient distributer of propaganda to the world's most hungry consumers and redistributers of propaganda (journalists and students). Editing Wikipedia is not really about knowing what is true and what is false, it is about playing the game and knowing how to exploit the rules. However, the hands-on editing of Wikipedia articles is actually a side issue for groups / nations engaged in producing Wikipedia propaganda. Producing citable material to justify the lies and distortions contained in Wikipedia articles is the main goal of a good propagandist, and NOT the actual writing of the articles.

And if the drugs were made pure, does that excuse the addicts and dealers? Surely the core problem is the existence of the addicts.

Just as in real life, a lot of the "dealers" find they become "addicts" - most of the readers of obscure articles are limited to those who edit them, and edit war on them, and argue endlessly about their content.

Well i think it is in part due to the fact that only Armenians are the ones using Armenian wiki. the most important Wikipedia is the English one which the whole world has access to. i think Armenians should be focused on that one. The Armenian Wiki being "halfassed" or rather lacking in volume is a non-issue. I was merely making a point that the Azerbaijanis are being as said above, childish. Making BS articles on pages NO ONE but them reads, its similar to a personal diary where a kid imagines himself like a superhero.

You can help make the Armenian Wiki better by editing it, fixing things you think are "halfassed". It is relatively new and given the longtime lack of Internet penetration in the country, seems like things have picked up slowly. But the depth ratio of Armenian Wikipedia seems to be much higher than the Azeri and Georgian ones, especially the former that seems to have inflated its article numbers with countless empty articles or articles that are not really of notable people.

In other words, nations get the Wikipedia they deserve.

I think you are referring to dab/dbachmann. He claims he is Austrian but I have always had my doubts. He is on a long wiki break and was temp banned prior to that.

Azerbaijani propagandists have also been very active on the Russian-language wikipedia. They had been operating an "Azerbaijani mailing list" to coordinate their edits and revert edits made by others, and to vote for certain persons to be made administrators. http://ru.wikipedia.org/. There is a rough English translation here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ti...Canens/sandbox but I'm wondering if the actual mailing list text exists anywhere?

About a year or two ago there was a similar scandal involving the English wikipedia, called the Eastern European Mailing list, in which certain editors and administrators pre-organised their edits and worked to get opposing editors banned. It was pro-Georgian anti-Russian. Wikipedia administrator Sandstein was mentioned in it, he is also very active in banning persons editing Armenia-related articles and has a very pronounced bias towards Azerbaijani propaganda and its propagandists.
