Hello all! It's obvious that I'm new here to the forum.
Anyway, I've read that the valley of the Araxes (Araks) river and the plateau around Lake Van was the dominion from about 1270 to 850 B.C, of the Chaldeans. Their Kingdom called Van, was known in nearby Assyria as Urartu. One Chaldean King, Aram, a contemporary of King Shalmaneser III (859-825 B.C) of Assyria, named the region Armaniya or Armina. The name first appeared in the inscription of Darius I, King of Persia about 521 B.C... Is this information correct? Also were the Armenians originally Chaldean?
