Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I think CatWoman thinks more reasonably than Anonymouse. The problem with Armenians is that they always compete with everybody about olderness and firstness, which is a funny subject for many and the result of a bogus soviet propaganda. 1918 Armenians begun war against Georgia. 1990 Armenians begun war against Azerbaijan. Why don't we look again through the historical facts and finally try to understand WHY THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE US. Particularly our historical brothers Geo and Az and the rest of the north Caucasus.

I find it hard to believe that you are Armenian (to say "us" in this pathetic posting). I am particualry amused by your claim that Armenia began the war vs Azerjaiban in 1990 (BS!). But I suppose you also feel that the Turks joined WWI on the side of the Germans because all the rest of Europe was against/after them and in order to prevent an armed Armenian uprising (yes what horrible warmongers we are)....

thank you winoman. i have never been to armenia but of all the people i know that are armenian even my dad who fought in the armenian military the last thing they want is war. armenia did not start the war of 1990 and there is very little evidence pointing the other way.

I agree with Wino here. I don't think you're Armenian. We all know why those who don't like us feel that way and honestly I could care less. If you were an Armenian you would know the motives behind the karabakh war with Azerbaijan, besides the fact that Karabakh was part of the historical Armenian, we didn't fight the war for 'olderness' or 'firstness' as you call it. We fought it for its predominantely Armenian population and how unfairly they were being treated under Azerbaijnan's control. It's in much better hands now, it's economy continues to grow, its GDP grew 20% in 2003, something that would've never happened if it had stayed with Azerbaijan.

Now about Georgia, you guys I KNOW they haven't acted nicely towards Armenians but it's getting better and I belive since we only have relations with 2 out of 4 of our neighbors, we can't risk loosing them.

Hi everybody. Well, let's try to look at Armenia from a different standpoint, from a different paradigm with more fresh thoughts and, as much as possible, objectivity. Otherwise we will be engulfed by the passionate patriotism distorting the reality, which is oppressive and aggressive around Armenia now. Believe me or not I am more Armenian than you are all, as I was born there and live there, but unfortunately I am now temporarily out of the country for the job search purposes. Somebody said that GDP in Armenia grew by 20 % in 2003. You are wrong, it grown by 25 in fact. Is that realistic you think? As a rule the GDP trends are so high only in cases of high rate of emigration from the country. The population decreases and whatever small enterprises are they start matching the needs of the small population. Yerevan in empty after 6 o’clock and not because of criminal situation. No, the city is very well secured. The reason is that nobody remains there to live. Turkey is closed, Azerbaijan is closed. Neighbouring Iranian province is so poor that it does not make sense to trade with them. So the only way out is RUSSIA and Georgia. And more Georgia, as it borders Armenia. Despite of this Armenian nationalists still try to provoke the destabilization in Javakhk region of Georgia where predominantly Armenians live. That make problems too.

Why don’t we start claiming our territories in Turkey, where 80 % Armenia is there including Ararat mountain. I feel offended when I look at Ararat from my window in Yerevan. My heart has been stolen and can’t return it though I see it every day. Why we don’t fight against them? No we don’t do that, as we are COWARDS. Our poor constitution still formally claims for these territories but what, NOTHING. As the president is xxxxxxx who kissed Russia’s are and Arm government licks the president’s arse. That’s called Armenian political orgy.

Skim reading on the forum= NOT a good idea

The 20% growth rate that "I" mentioned wasn't for Armenia mister.... It was for Artsakh... My ENTIRE POST was about Karabakh... How could you miss that! Again, skim reading on the forum, not a good idea (unless you're reading arabaliozian )

Okay buddy, now what do you suggest we do about the situation, as far as I know getting Javakhk back isn't on the agenda! haha, sooooo should we give up Karabakh and forget the genocide ever happened and make friends with Turkey and Azerbaijan?
