  • What do u no about ur armenian history?

Most armenians dont no anything about their own heritage and their history involved with that heritage. Most armenians that i am familiar with, only no that the armenians were victims of a genocide and it ends at that. BUt they dont know that our race has been around for more than 20,000 years, and yes their are evidence proving this bold stament. We are the notorious SUmerians, and we've had large influences on Egyption, European and Mexican development in our past. So my question to u guys is, why dont Armenian learn more about their history?

        Lol...

at first I thought this thread is gonna be about each persons personal family history...which is also important...a lot of people don't know and don't ever bother to ask their grandparents where they come from, etc, etc.

hroape, if you don't mind, tell some history...or what you know...

The first thing that armenians have to know is that were the oldest civilization to date. Their is no one older than us. You guys can check out ArmenianHighland.com for information on armenians. To start off, the intelligence that the armenian people had and still cary till this day. Armenian people had the maps of the world dating more than 15,000 years. We knew about atoms, molecules and the elements in detail way before Mendel and others who stole our knowledge. Scientists have found pictures and sketches of galaxies out of our own that astronomers are learning about today. And its not like armenians are the ones who are boasting about this type of stuff, its mainly german and other Europeans who are doing all the digging and translating old armenian hyroglifs. Just our language alone is a mistery til this day. Armenian experts are uncovering new secrets everyday about our language. For instance, each letter in our alphabet represents the first 36 elements. When you spell gold in armenian,"artsat" and use the elements that they represent you get gold. and this has been tested, but its not commonly used because of cost. And ofcourse their are reasons why this knowledge and history hasnt been talked about until recently. But ill need a lot more time to get that message across. the most important thing for armenians to do right now is learn about themselves, and realize that their is no greater people. We have to cherish our race's history first, then the other inferiors.

Dude, that's much better. When you're trying to start an intellectual discussion and discuss history, having good grammar and spelling helps us take you seriously.

There are some claims you're making that I have heard of, but haven't read any serious academic research on. Then there are some wild ass assertions like the Mexican connection. The only Egyptian connection I've heard of is that Queen Nefertiti was of Urartian lineage. I mean where is Egypt and where is Anatolia/Caucusus.

As far as Armenians, as Armenians/Hayks, not peoples/tribes that make up the Armenian cultural/genetic core, being the oldest peoples in the world is also something I haven't read. I know that 3000 years ago the unique and distinct Armenians national character was being defined, and it was made up of elements and cultures that very easily could boast to be the oldest or some of the oldest, like Hittites, Phrygians, etc. Also, certainly Armenians are an ancient and classic nation that played a role in the political and cultural make-up of the cradle of civilization, but oldest people?

Also, the thing about the alphabet doesn't make sense. I mean I knew Surb Mashtoc was a great scholar and a learned man, but a Chemist? I did read somewhere that Armenian lanuage is one of the most diverse (sounds-wise) languages in the world.

Anyways, I'm not an expert, and we have some folks here who have conducted a serious academic search for questions to answers about our origins. I wonder what's their opinion about some of your claims.

Other than that I agree that it'd be nice if we Armos were more interested in our own history than history of other nations. I personally wish I knew more about our ancient roots.

LMAO! Sounds like somebody's been feeding you a bunch o bull !!! Gold IS an element itself (atomic number 79). Unless you want to claim Armenians knew how to do nuclear fission and fusion reactions a few thousand years before everyone else too.
