Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Kurdish PKK Killed 81 Turkish Soldiers in Iraq, Leader Says

    By Mark Bentley

Feb. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, killed 81 Turkish soldiers in fighting in northern Iraq over the past four days, Bahoz Erdal, a leader of the group, said.

Hundreds of Turkish soldiers were also wounded in the battles in Iraq's northern mountains, Erdal today told the Netherlands-based Firat news agency, which is used by the PKK to make statements to the media. Erdal didn't say how many of the group's own fighters had died.

The death toll contradicts data reported by the Turkish armed forces. Fifteen Turkish soldiers and 112 PKK fighters have died in the conflict, the army said on its Web site yesterday.

Turkey sent troops over the border into northern Iraq on Feb. 21 in the largest incursion in 11 years. The U.S. and United Nations, concerned that the attack will destabilize a relatively peaceful part of Iraq, have urged the Turkish government to show restraint and conclude the operation as soon as possible.

Turkey has fought the PKK for two decades at the cost of almost 40,000 lives, most of them Kurdish. The group is branded a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the European Union.

Turkish fighter jets pounded PKK positions overnight in and around Hakurk, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the Turkish border, Agence France-Presse reported, citing unidentified security sources.

As for the turks of Germany, if they started any bull it would be "straight to Auschwitz!" with them.
      Kurds!!

Yes many kurds live in Istanbul and other parts of Turkey well, But before you should learn 3 types of Kurds.
First types feel themselves as a Turk, and have strong Turkish nationalists emotions (Kurds 30%) so I can say for this type,There is no difference Turk or Kurd

Second Types know who they are ! but second type doesn't know kurdish costum or kurdish language. They are like Turks . And second type is dominant type. If Turkey goes into a war, they want to join Turkish army as volunteer! (Kurds %45)

and Third type is Kurdish rats which support PKK and wants to divide Turkish lands and moreover they lay claim ex-Armenian lands such as Erzurum, Hakkari, Van ,Maras,Adana etc.

So, Kurds are not dangerious for Turkish republic and Turks. In addition, 17 Turkish soldiers died but 4 soldiers were originally Kurdish! So it is good eample for that. . .

      Turkey does't use 2nd ones
For example,We produce F16's in our country with cooperation US. and sell them scandinavian countries! Also our national defence indurstry perfect than many European countries.

Believe what you want. No one knows the real numbers because the area of operation is closed off...but one thing is certain: the Turkish news sources (where cnn, bbc get their info) are nothing but Turkish propoganda outlets. Jackass Turks, like yourself, are too stupid to realize this.
The bottom line is that the Turkish government (which is run by accomplished liars) will purposley understate its failures in order to save face.

Anyway, I'm enjoying this. Your pain - my pleasure.

I realize some kurds are trators to their own people and serve the same state that treats their people as 2nd class citizens, that is their own fault and one reason why they have not been more successful in gaining autonomy.

Besides the kurds there are many other ethnic groups living within the borders of turkey, who would not fight for turkey either, such as the laz and hemshens.

Nordic nations buying xxxxty f-16's from turkey, that's a good one. Pray tell, why would they waste money on old planes, that do not even come from the source nation (u.s.), especially when they have their own jet making companies such as saab? Also, Norway's Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace manufactuers these planes too, so what is the point of them buying it from turkey?
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

If you observe Rize or Trabzon, Laz women wear headscarfs...

I am not bound to persuade you!

These are the countries that turkish aerospace industries exports to:

Austria, Belgium, Canada, egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, pakistan, S. Korea, spain, Switzerland and the u.s.

None of the nations you mentioned are on the list.

As for the laz, well any REAL laz would never fight for turkey, same as kurds, and I have met enough of the real ones to know what they think of turkey.
