I know. But there are a lot of ways to just kill who you want to kill without having to take the life of such innocent people. They didn't have to walk into the house where they should/could have easily known was going to be a little girl. That's the annoying/tragic part. Not that some dude who made a bunch of stupid decisions was killed, but that the killers were so apathetic towards people who had no connection to their beef.

Also, it's most likely Armenians that are doing the killing, which makes it all x10,000 worse.

Lets not jump to conclusions just yet about who did it. We really dont know so why say probably armenians did it. My armenian friends sister was shot in the head in a building she owned but it was not Armenians that did it..

Who said it was an Armenian who did it? If your entire family gets shot to death, including an eight-year-old child, then you must have been doing something wrong. I've heard a lot of stories like this when I was in high school and it usually ended up that the father was doing something extremely horrible that nobody knew of and owed thousands of dollars. Again, I'm not saying they deserved it, but it's pretty clear that they were doing something they shouldn't have been, because people don't get wiped out for no reason.

Usually this sort of thing is drug/mafia related and these particular murders have the hallmarks of contract killings.

I said it's most likely Armenians because Armenians rarely have major business related beef with anybody other than Armenians. I'm not saying the Husband was some innocent guy, I'm saying I'm mad at the killers for being so unprofessional and indiscriminate towards those they have no beef with, in this case an eight year old girl.

Exactly. That's the point of killing the eight-year-old girl. You do something bad, we do something worse. It's a message, not an accident.

That's pretty much how organised crime seems to work these days. If you are somehow a threat to them or they think that you are then they will kill your entire family.

GIRL WHOSE FAMILY WAS SLAIN NOW IN PROTECTIVE CUSTODY

                    Contra Costa Times
                    April 1 2010
                    CA

An Armenian girl who recently found her mother shot to death in
Hollywood, 18 months after she discovered the bodies of her father
and 9-year-old sister, who also were shot dead, has been placed in
protective custody, law enforcement sources said today.

The slayings of Karine Hakobyan, 38, Khachik Safaryan, 43, and their
9- year-old daughter, Lusine, appear to be targeted "hits" that may
have stemmed from a disagreement that Safaryan had with someone over
money or romance, said the sources, who requested anonymity because
they were not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

Los Angeles police Robbery-Homicide detectives in Hollywood were
investigating all three deaths, the most recent of which occurred
                    Friday.

Hakobyan's body was found by Los Angeles police in the driver's
seat of her Honda sport utility vehicle around 8:20 p.m. Friday. The
vehicle was parked in the 5800 block of Lexington Avenue in Hollywood,
according to police. The Honda was parked in a fenced-in, gated area.

Hakobyan's husband and 9-year-old daughter were found shot to death in
December 2008 in their home on the 1200 block of Tamarind Avenue. The
couple's other daughter discovered the deaths when she returned from
                    school on Dec. 11, 2008.

A $75,000 reward was offered in February 2009 for information leading
to the arrest of whoever killed them.

The victims have not been linked to any criminal activity in the
United States or Armenia, according to police.

An FBI spokeswoman would not immediately comment on whether a Justice
Department's Eurasian Organized Crime Task Force has been deployed
to assist in the homicide investigations.

"Whatever the motive, whether it's money or romance, these are
clearly hits," a local law enforcement source said. "There is no
                    coincidence here."

Man held in death of 1 of 3 LA family members

By THOMAS WATKINS (AP) – 5 hours ago

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles police say a man has been arrested for investigation of the March murder of a Hollywood woman whose husband and daughter were slain in 2008.

Police Capt. Kevin McClure said Thursday that Alberd Tersargyan was arrested at his home and a weapon was found.

McClure says police are investigating whether Tersargyan is linked to the earlier deaths.

Thirty-eight-year-old Karine Hakobyan was shot to death March 26 in a carport at her apartment complex.

Her husband, 43-year-old Khachik Safaryan, and their 9-year-old daughter Lucine were killed in the family home Dec. 11, 2008. An older daughter survives.

Police have said they were investigating whether a romantic triangle was the motive.
