Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

[QUOTE=Artsakh;318407]You are a hypocrite. You criticize Frenso and diasporan Armenians because not enough of them joined the armed struggle in Artsakh (I'm sure all your uncles and cousins went ), and yet mock the very natives who put their life on the line, faught for, and liberated Armenian territory as being idiots when it comes to politics. You know what, when you become a citizen of Armenia and live there, and put your life on the line defending its boundaries, then and only then will you have any right to voice any opinion whatsoever regarding how best to manage the country. I don't know what Institute of Political Governance Serj Sarkissian earned his phd from, but Serje is a man just like the rest of them and he's got so special gene to make him a politician and the rest idiots.

You must have reading issues or not know the definition of the word hypocrite. Serj has a proven track record, of the 3 presidents Armenia has had since 1991, Serj is the best and I see a progression. Unlike you, I do not wish to see a traitor come to power again nor do I support a cia backed revolution.

Manvel would have you for lunch! Don't talk so big behind a computer, it is silly.
How long have you been swinging from manvel's ball sack?

I don't support LTP at all. However, I would advise you send those links to President Serj Sargsyan, who is currently in dealings with LTP to cut a power sharing deal ahead of the elections coming up.
You supported ltp when he was running, which says enough about your character. Furthermore, your childish comments about regional politics and Russo-Armeno relations shows you are still in need of a basic course in IR theory and geopolitics.

    Armenia-Turkey “monstrosity” dismantled in Kars

    June 15, 2011 | 11:13

The monument to Armenia-Turkey friendship, slammed as “a monstrosity” by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was dismantled in Kars.

The last pieces of the statue were destroyed within the recent two days and transferred to another place, Hurriyet newspaper reports.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, during his visit to Kars, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the monument to Armenia-Turkey friendship “monstrous” and ordered to demolish it.

Former Mayor of Kars Naif Alibeyoglu has always stood for the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border without any preconditions and for this purpose organized a collection of signature in Kars. On his initiative, a large monument was put to represent the Armenian-Turkish friendship and peace. However, Alibeyoglu was defeated in the mayoral elections in 2009. The unfinished monument was put near the old Armenian district of Kars.

Azerbaijan erects statue to officer who killed 4 Armenians

    19:45 • 15.06.11

Azerbaijan has erected a statue to a military officer who killed four and wounded as much Armenian conscripts in a diversion attack on an Armenian outpost last year.

Mubariz Ibrahimov, welcomed as hero at home, died in a commando-style attack on 19 June 2010.

According to the Azerbaijani 1news.az, the statue is four-meter long and has been erected with the funds of Azerbaijan’s Central Bank.

Mubariz Ibrahimov was posthumously awarded the title of hero by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Furthermore, if you understand anything about politics, instead of insulting Armenians for being unhappy about the statue issue, which by the way is no issue at all since the statue is proudly erected in a nearby suburb home to a larger Armenian community, and, in all fairness, Armenians were wrong in the first place to have ignored the laws of the land and put it up without approval, WHAT YOU SHOULD CONCENTRATE YOUR EFFORTS ON IS EXPOSING TO THE WORLD HOW TURKS TRIES TO SUPPRESS THE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF ARMENIANS LIVING IN OTHER COUNTRIES.

Armenian ruling party to form coalition with opposition after elections- MP

    June 14, 2011 | 15:45

YEREVAN. – Opposition Heritage party member, MP Armen Martirosyan does not exclude that Heritage will have less seats in the parliament after the 2012 elections, the MP told at the press conference on Tuesday.

“We neither started the world nor will end it. Essential is how the society will struggle for preserving its voice,” told Martirosyan.

Armen Martirosyan believes that the ruling Republican party of Armenia and the opposition Armenian National Congress will form a coalition after the elections. The coalition will be logical as there are many similar issues on approaches and the way of working, he added.

I would rather Russia doesn't rcognize the AG than to make us tear down the Statue of our good General and relocate it, for the Turks.

If the manvel you mention is the choban from Etchmiadzin then you have really discredited yourself. He is one of the most corrupt and uncouth people in Armenia.
Manvel would have you for lunch! Don't talk so big behind a computer, it is silly.

Turkey has nothing major to gain from open borders. It was under pressure from Russia and the US to make an attempt but the azeri's used their influence and the turkish nationalists riled up the public. Armenia on the other had did have much to gain, such as a new route to the outside world, huge market, and the dependence on the banana republic of georgia would drop considerably thus enhancing Armenia's security. It is certain hysterical elements within the diaspora who tried to paint Serj and co as wanting to sell out the nation, again showing their political immaturity.
    In line with LTP's views.

You support ltp, it does not get anymore Armenophobic than that.
