Brigade, the question remains. What money?

I have answered to the question already.The money that they use to buy their luxury cars ,sell their drugs,clean their dirty money,and build their villas on the top of the hills.
There is another way to build Dants.I was speaking with an ARMENIAN FROM ARMENIA and he was the one who gave me the information.He said they need just 16-17 Kilometers to build the road from another way but the goverment claims they dont have the money.So the Armenians of Armenia made many protests so they can protect the forest.
This is not just about the forests though.This is the reflection of what opinion the Armenian people have for the corrupted parties and they all know what is happening very well.

I understand that transportation is essential for a healthy economy and military operations; but I would rather build an extra "16-17" kms - or even 50+ - to preserve an ancient forest.
It seems that few of us are aware of the details of the project.

I'm really curious, what other ways are out there?

First of, a road is usually only 6-12 meters wide. The forest, if it really is that big of a forest won't disappear with a 10 meter road built in it. Many highways in US and Canada are built on the forests. Besides, we only have a tiny border with Iran, way smaller than the one with Turkey or Azerbaijan that are closed:



Now, forest and mountain is pretty much all there is. The one we already have goes around the mountain, it's narrow, and inconvenient specially during winter time. So what options do we really have?

We can't just look at this huge map and find out alternative ways to build the road.
The fact is that there already is an alternative way from what i know and they just need to add 16-17 Kilometers to fix this situation.Officialy they claim they don't have the money to do it.
Which is translated to this:I don't want to give the money which i am putting
in my pocket, for your forest.

By "educate us on the subject" I meant "inform us on the subject." Of course, I did not mean to insinuate that we are not educated! I apologize for the confusion.
An uninformed intelligence is not very useful; in the best case, less useful than an informed one!

Yes, I think the option you're talking about goes through the mountain around the old road, which means they need to take out parts of the mountain to make it straight and smooth which is VERY costy, and unfortunately, we're not at the position to do so. So the road probably won't be built. I seriously can't see how a 10 meter road can hurt the forest so bad.

Neither me or you have any knowledge of building roads.So if so many Armenian people from Armenia have made protests about it , then obviously there is something wrong.So we should better not assume that adding just 17 Kilometers is going to be very costly.

During the previous years, the Lincy Foundation have dedicated a lot of funds to rebuild the roads. If it's only a matter of cost, why shouldn't the Diaspora or the Lincy Foundation finance the difference?

I seriously can't see how a 10 meter road can hurt the forest so bad.

The impact will probably be far greater than the width of the highway. I'm not a specialist, but I can imagine how it can have much larger impact on the neighboring environment. First of all, the wildlife will slowly die along the highway, but I wouldn't know how deep in the forest the impact would be.
Also, it would divide the forest!
Last, but not least, I can see many Armenian families picnicking along the road, littering and barbecuing...

you can drive 17 km in 15 minutes. They should build the road the long way.
