Here you can evaluate for yourself what Pamuk feels in this documentary ...

      Pamuk Documentary

His comments were made to a Swiss newspaper apparently ... "30,000 Kurds and over 1 million Armenians had been killed in Turkey"

Heheheh ... yeah they are so pissed off that they seemed in that documentary like they'd like to kill him. In my mind it just goes to show how a lie, or taught false truth, that is perpetuated by either a single individual or an entire country will eventually poison the mind and soul of those who refuse to admit to themselves what the truth is in reality. Lies that are perpetuated for a lifetime and are eventually discovered by the believers of these false ideas normally crumble under the weight of the truth.

The truth shall set you free ...

Can you imagine holding a belief in something so historically false for generations? Talk about carrying the burden of your forefathers around for a lifetime. You would have to constantly reaffirm your false beliefs time after time in a measure to ensure the validity of such a belief, or disbelief, so that you could in essence satiate your stressed out psyche.
