What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

'Armenia will lose in case of war'
    Sat 22 May 2010 | 05:29 GMT Text size:

    Azerbaijani Defense Ministry
'Armenian Army has losses three times more than our army during the ceasefire, spokesman for Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.

But the leadership of the Armenian Army always tries to hide these reports,' spokesman for Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu said at the press conference on the line of contact in Terter.

Eldar Sabiroglu underlined that Azerbaijani Army is always ready for war.

'The current situation of our Armed Forces gives ground to say that the army is capable of fulfilling the task under any circumstances,' he said.

Eldar Sabiroglu also commented on the recent military exercises conducted by the Armenian Armed Forces.

'By bringing several tanks, guns to the firing point the enemy tries to create an appearance. We also conduct military exercises, but our aim is not to show something, but to increase the combat skills of our army. Despite their exercises, their losses in March 2008 in this direction demonstrated the combat skills of their army,' he said.

Sabiroglu said the country’s economy enabled us to supply the Azerbaijani Army with modern arms. “It makes Armenia, double-standard international organizations, as well as the countries with pro-Armenian positions anxious. We are purchasing arms at our own expense, but Armenians receive it as endowment.

Everybody understands that Armenian army’s situation is hopeless. The Armenian army is drowning in bribery. The parents give a bribe to the commanders that their children don’t die of hunger. The soldiers are eating at home. If the war is launched, the Karabakh issue will be solved in a couple of minutes. Armenia will be defeated in a short time”.

Sabiroglu said military schools of the country were developed and some foreign countries sent their citizens to Azerbaijan to get military education. 'The citizens of two countries are already getting education in the Azerbaijani military schools'.

Its all intended for internal purposes. He keeps making these idiotic claims because he, like everyone else in azerbaijan, thinks Artsakh still has old soviet weapons not taking into consideration the fact that they have really built up there defenses and are more than capable of rebuffing an azeri attack.

Azerbaijan tries to put the blame for its soldiers’ deaths on Armenia
            May 22, 2010 - 11:06 AMT 06:06 GMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - Baku is constantly accusing Armenia of violations of the ceasefire to screen the murders and suicides in the Azeri army.

“The Azeri propaganda machine is spreading lies because of frequent casualties and harassment among servicemen leading to the death of soldiers, who are later on reported to be killed at the frontline,” the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

The Ministry stated that Armenian servicemen observe the ceasefire and resort to retaliatory measures to stop the fire commenced from the opposite side of the contact line. “The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reiterates that Armenian armed forces are up in arms to rebuff any attack,” it said.

Most Azeris are brainwashed, the rest flee to other nations as refugees, all you can do is hope that when Azerbajians oil runs out that their mafia/totaltarian regime collapses. Who knows if things turn out well for Armenia maybe even Armenians can return to Baku and get their homes back, since the Azeri economy would have collapsed.

Today.Az » Analytics » Saint simplicity of murderers: From Hermann Goering to Serzh Sargsyan

                24 May 2010 [12:41] - Today.Az

"O sancta simplicitas!" (Oh, saint simplicity!) This phrase belongs to the Czech reformer and national liberation movement hero Jan Hus. According to legend, Hus said these words when an old woman tossed a bundle of sticks into the fire when Huss was burned at the stake.

A similar phrase can be said when analysing Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s interview with the Russia 24 TV channel. However, the Armenian leader suits neither the role of the old woman nor Hus. Sargsyan was not lying. He is just a hypocrite with an expression of holy simplicity on his face. He began his interview with memories of his childhood that coincided with the years when monuments were being erected to the victims of the Great Patriotic War in “my native Nagorno-Karabakh.”

It should be noted that the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, historically Azerbaijani territory, is part of Azerbaijan. Sargsyan was born in the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region in the Soviet era. So, in essence, the president mentioned that Azerbaijan has always revered the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War, erecting monuments to them. This was the only sincere statement in Sargsyan’s interview.

The president said he visits the memorials of those who occupied Azerbaijani territories several times a year, and added: "There for the first time in my life I realized that one must protect his homeland which means to protect one’s family, one’s dignity and one’s future children. Unfortunately, this protection requires sacrifice."

Let’s note once again that Sargsyan’s homeland is the Azerbaijani city of Khankandi in Nagorno-Karabakh. Though this city is under Armenian occupation, along with other Azerbaijani towns, it is historical land and part of Azerbaijan.

Consequently, if Sargsyan was ready to protect his homeland, he should have defended Azerbaijan. But he acted differently and resorted to treason. Some Soviet citizens acted likewise during the occupation of Soviet territory by German fascists. They became police, village headmen, or just informants. Later when Soviet territory was de-occupied, these persons were either shot on the spot or were assigned community service at best. Time will tell what will be the fate of Sargsyan.

I am going to point out the most cynical statement by the president in his interview.

"I faced some questions there – why do people fight against each other, why are people from the same region turning people against others? Is this the true reason for crimes such as ethnic cleansing and genocide?" Sargsyan asked.

Apparently, he did not receive answers to these questions while living in Khankadi or working as a metalworker in the Yerevan Electrotechnical Factory. He went another way turning one nation against another by committing crimes, including ethnic cleansing and genocide of the peaceful Azerbaijani population in Khojaly.

From 1989 to 1993, Sargsyan led the so-called "Committee of Self-Defense Forces of the NKR,” and he was the defense minister from 1993 to 1995. In other words, he was directly involved in the occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories, which claimed the lives of civilians, including the elderly, women and children in Azerbaijani cities, districts and villages. His hands are stained with the blood of Azerbaijanis up to his very elbows.

But despite all of this, he talks about the causes of conflicts between peoples, about the causes of atrocities and ethnic cleansing. This is certainly not saint simplicity. This cynicism is akin to what guided the leaders of Nazi Germany during the Nuremberg trials.

Due to post-war tensions between the Soviet Union and the West, the process was hard and gave the accused hope that the process would be disrupted. The situation escalated even after Churchill's Fulton speech. Therefore, the defendants acted courageously, skillfully gaining time, hoping that the impending war would put an end to the process.

Above all, Nazi Reich Minister of the Imperial Aviation Ministry Marshal Hermann Goering, who signed a paper on the "final solution" to the xxxish question, which envisaged the destruction of nearly 20 million people, contributed to this.

As a result, Goering was sentenced to death by hanging. But in his final statement Aug. 31, 1946 he did not recognize the tribunal. The Control Commission rejected his application to replace death by hanging with the firing squad. He committed suicide in his cell two hours before the execution. This was the end of a human existence, which cynically did not plead guilty to his most monstrous crimes.

                this idiot contradicts himself

Let’s note once again that Sargsyan’s homeland is the Azerbaijani city of Khankandi in Nagorno-Karabakh. Consequently, if Sargsyan was ready to protect his homeland, he should have defended Azerbaijan. So let me get this straight. Artsakh belongs to azerbaijan, Sargsyan is from Stepanakert. He says Sargsyan should have defended his homeland, which apparently is azerbaijan and he led the Artsakh forces against azerbaijan. Doesnt this sound more like an act of liberation instead of occupation? They claim Artsakh belonged to them, Sargsyan was born there and led the Artsakh forces against azerbaijan. This sounds like liberation.

If Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh were not treated differently than Azerbaijanis, then he would have most likely served Azerbaijan rather than Armenia. That's what the Azeri propaganda-infested author forgets to say. The truth is that during Soviet years Artsakh went through a process of Azerification and was to suffer the same fate as Nakhichevan. Did they think that Armenians would still continue to digest what they were doing?

                    ARMENIANS ANNOYED

Armenian-Americans are skeptical over President Obama's nomination of an ambassador to Azerbaijan, suspecting him of bias against a disputed ethnic-Armenian enclave within the southwestern Asian nation that led to war in the 1990s.

Mr. Obama's selection of Matthew Bryza, a career diplomat, this week "drew comment and concern in Armenian political circles [for] … holding unconcealed affection towards Azerbaijan," according to a report in ArmeniaNow.com on reaction from Armenian analysts.

The entangled conflict between Armenia, which is 95 percent Christian, and Azerbaijan, which is 95 percent Muslim, dates back centuries. But the ethnic-Armenian claims to Nagorno-Karabakh in 1991 sparked a war that claimed thousands of casualties and displaced hundreds of thousands on both sides.

Fighting broke out between Azerbaijan and ethnic-Armenians who declared Nagorno-Karabakh an independent nation and eventually drew Armenia into the conflict before Azerbaijan agreed to a cease-fire in 1994, with Armenians in control of 14 percent of the country.

In 2006, Mr. Bryza, a specialist in Europe and Eurasian affairs, was assigned as a co-chairman of a committee of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) created to negotiate a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.

Armenian-Americans say Mr. Bryza displayed a pro-Azerbaijani bias during those peace talks.

"We look to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the full U.S. Senate to carefully scrutinize Mr. Bryza's record, his formal testimony and responses to inquiries that he will face during his confirmation process," Aram Hamparian, executive director of the Armenian National Committee of America told ArmeniaNow.

Azerbaijani officials, while not critical of Mr. Bryza, were disappointed with the U.S. position in the so-called Minsk Group of the OSCE. Ali Hasanov, an aide to President Ilham Aliyev, has complained that the United States was biased toward the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.

FM: Final stage in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement will be establishing Azerbaijani flag over Khankendi
                      26.05.2010 20:57

                      Azerbaijan, Baku, May 26 /Trend, E.Tariverdiyeva/

Now it is difficult to talk about the time of completion of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but the final step will be that the Azerbaijani flag will again fly over Khankendi, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov briefed the media on May 26.

"It needs to hold elections with the participation of the two communities, which should determine the further status within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," he said.
According to the minister, he will meet with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in early June.

"We will discuss the results of the meeting of co-chairs with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, which was held in Brussels in May," Mammadyarov said.

According to him, the Azerbaijani side should discuss with the co-chairs the next step of the negotiation process, but only if the Armenian side agrees with the updated Madrid principles.

Commenting on Barack Obama's nominating Matthew Bryza as an ambassador to Azerbaijan, the foreign minister said that it was approved by the Azerbaijani side, but for Bryza's appointment of an ambassador, certain procedures should take place in the U.S. Senate.
