Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Economically I favour the Nordic Model a lot. I think though that our government should do in terms of economic policies is not enact so much neo-liberal economic policies that give the large companies so much power. We need more government regulation over monopolistic tendencies by such companies and to try to foster more economic competition. We also need better social programs and investments by the government, with which government should create more jobs for the people. A large factor in this is taxes. Tax return in Armenia is rather low and we need to make sure a consistent tax system is in place, with which every person, including oligarchs, will pay their dues. Of course, we need to also accept the fact that much of investments come from the diaspora, so we need to make the bureaucracy more investment friendly, make it more transparent, and less corruption, in order to encourage more investments from the diaspora, we need better public relations, and more events in the diaspora to advertise investing in Armenia.

I'm glad you agree that you are the PERRRfect example.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

A person who thinks he is a city founded by an emperor is pretty pompous. You, though, are small scale compared to the classic example: the one and only and singular "Armenian".

However, for "Armanen", a person who calls themself after an alphabet dreamed up in 1902 by a weirdo German neo-pagan (while in an 11 month state of temporary blindness) kind of defies categorisation.

PusXy, you are the one in an ARMENIAN forum, arguing with Armenians on their issues! You are the one with idiotic theories, you are the one who thinks Armenians owe you something because you had a s*itty website about Ani for a few years, and you are the one who is the epitome of provocateur.

Aren't you Armenians just soooh charming. It's "your issues" until it's about something you've made a mess of, or you need the help of others, or you need protection from enemies, then suddenly you start saying it's "our issues". Do you still wonder why you fail so miserably at this "information war"?

Actually, if you ever read and understood any of my posts and those of so many you love to criticize, you'd see that we're all pretty skeptical of the Genocide recognition campaign in much of the West, and other than close ties with Russia, all of us call for Armenians to stop, willingly or unwillingly, doing the work of foreign powers. I again repeat, worry about your country cause it is in serious trouble, and unlike Armenia, it really has no excuses other than its poor geopolitical and cultural choices. Key word, choices!

Haha, it's to funny seeing you feel so addressed, which is the reason why you quickly want to say something smart about someone else's nickname.

Yes, it's totally weird that on an Armenian forum, Armenian members choose Armenian nicknames, that's unheard of. I thought usually on American forums they choose Armenian nicknames, and on Armenian forums they choose Chinese nicknames. And as a forum is largely anonymous and people do not use their own names, they use nicknames.

You are just hilarious, I am seriously feeling sorry why, at such an old age as you Scott have, you are discussing such non-sense topics on an Armenian forum.

Contrary to you drug-addicted people, we have an independent state. It's funny this all is coming from a person who let's the British xxxx them for over for centuries Oh poor Scottish people, I feel sorry for you. You are probably on cocaine, as Scotland has the highest rate of cocaine usage in the world. Scotts are barbarians, they also have the second highest murder rate in Europe (wheres Armenia is one of the safest countries). And as we know your lives are miserable, Scotland also has the highest suicide rate in the UK. And as we also know the education system is pretty flawed, as we see the lack of knowledge of bell-the-cat, it's no wonder that Scottish universities have the highest dropout rate. Because of their stress, the only thing they can do is eat, which is why they have the second-highest obesity rate in the world. I can continue for ages why Scotland is a failed state... hell, I feel sorry for you.

If Armenia was located where Scotland is, it would be one of the most advanced nations in world. I would like to see any other nation have their homeland in such a volatile region, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, cross roads of civilisations and religions. The fact that there stands an independent, free Christian Armenia after all the turmoil and history, tells a lot about the Armenian people and our resilience. I don't think we should resort to degrading another member's country, let's take the high road here.
