If the "citation needed" tags have been there for more than two weeks, leave a note in the article's talk page announcing that the content is controversial and contested, and if satisfactory citations are not provided to prove the contested content, it will be removed at the end of 7 days. Then, if no citations have been provided after 14 days, make an additional talk page posting saying you are now going to remove the content, then remove the content and make reference to your talk page post in the edit summary.
