Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Re: Armenia and the information war

    Baku tells its own truth

Every morning Azerbaijani news agencies, as if acting in collusion, report information on alleged sniping of the Azerbaijani troops by the Armenian side.

The stock reports, with hardly any changes, are made by a number of news agencies and are available on search engines in story forms. We can see that the news on “sniping” is normally reported early in the morning, between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. So the disinformation of the Armenian armed forces’ activities on the frontline is the first information reported by the Azeri news agencies regardless of what is actually going on.

Five or six years ago the relevant Armenian agencies regularly refuted the reports. In the course of time, however, it has become senseless to refute the disinformation, as the aim of the Azeri propaganda is quite clear – creating a firm impression that the Armenian side is deliberately violating the cease-fire in the conflict zone. It is not clear, however, what is the purpose of the Armenian troops, which took up defensive positions long ago. On the other hand, among the numerous false reports, the Armenian Defense Office’s reports on individual incidents sound quite trustworthy, as it is the Azeri army that is a potential attacker.

Considering the above, one can arrive at the following conclusion: for many years the Azeri military propaganda has been exerting efforts to shape a different opinion of the real situation on the frontline — which of the sides is defending itself and which may launch an offensive. In case the hostilities resume, the false reports will be submitted to different monitoring groups, and the Armenian side may be accused of violating the cease-fire regime and unleashing a new war. No matter that it is entirely illogical. Propaganda is designed to produce its own truth, is it not?

Azerbaijani UN delegates sent letter to Ban Ki-moon
      16:49 / 01/08/2010

Permanent Representation of Azerbaijan to the UN sent a letter to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressing concern over the fact that “Armenia keeps on neglecting its international commitments related to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”

Armenia’s stance on the real essence of the conflict threatens to lead astray the international community. Unconstructive position of Armenian authorities endangers solution to the dispute by political means, the letter reads.

Azerbaijani delegates claim that Armenia is presently the only mono-ethnic country in the world where racial discrimination prevails in politics, calling on UN and international organizations to undertake more serious measures against Armenia, Azertag reports.

Ethnic Armenians make up 97.9% of the population. Yazidis make up 1.3%, and Russians 0.5%. Other minorities include Assyrians, Ukrainians, Greeks, Kurds, Georgians, and Belarusians. There are also smaller communities of Vlachs, Mordvins, Ossetians, Udis, and Tats. Minorities of Poles and Caucasus Germans also exist though they are heavily Russified.
From Wikipedia article on Armenian,a and this data is taken from a document of the OSCE itself.

And as an example, you can ask any Yazidi Kurd living in Armenia whether he is "racially discriminated", they will tell you "No, we are OK"...or just look in YouTube for Kurds in Armenia.

look at Azerbaijan, according to a census done in 1999 the population was 91% Azeri. Now its probably gone up to 95% since they are trying to make everyone become Azeris and lose there ethnic identities like the Avars, Tashkins, Lezgins, etc.

          • He was conferred the cold order “Glory”, by government.

For more information on Dr. Kerimov, check his official biography here

          -------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been wanting to expose and discuss Dr. Kerimov's work on this forum for awhile now but never got to it. So what is so special about him? Well Dr. Kerimov is not only a highly decorated scientist in Azerbaijan but he has a second job as a cartoonist. What about his cartoons? Well they are not just any cartoons but they are propaganda cartoons that focus on Armenia and Armenians. His cartoons are also officially sanctioned by the Azerbaijani government. What makes these cartoons special is that they are extremely dangerous given on how they are fed to the Azerbaijani population which surely includes children. When children are raised with these cartoons, they will develop and mature with hatred of Armenians and that is dangerous because it essentially means Azerbaijan is breeding an entire generation of Azerbaijanis that are potentially genocidal maniacs and that is perhaps the single biggest thread to the Armenian nation. Just how far do these cartoons go? Let me show you some examples.

These are only a few of Dr. Kerimov's art. More than 70 similar pictures can be found on his website and I suggest you check them all out. I have only included a few in this post due to limitations. He has about 4000 political cartoons according to his website.

Click HERE for the website directing to his cartoons

Common themes of his artwork includes equating terrorism and narcomania (drug abuse) to "Armenism", linking Nakhichevan and Azerbaijan, calling the Armenian Genocide (Ermeni soyqirim) an Armenian plot to squeeze money, equating Armenia with Nazism, turning Armenia into a snake or an ugly bloodthirsty man etc. The ironic part about him equating Armenia to Nazism is that these political cartoon tactics were most prominently used by Nazi Germany! And the most damning of evidence as to where Dr. Kerimov is getting his ideas is found in the following comparison between a Nazi Germany propaganda cartoon during WWII and a cartoon from Dr. Kerimov.

^Yeah, and we are the ones spreading hate propaganda....

This is scary actually, it's like a kick in the face of your humanity. And what hurts the more is that he dares to call us fascists, terrorists and supporters of Nazism, when spreading hatred propaganda with these kind of images is one of the techniques of fascist groups, targeting an ethnicity, aimed to create racial tensions that could lead to horrible events...in other words Genocide. These couldn't be more direct to show what they want to provoke in people....disgusting.

We should make these available for more people to see, we should spread it.

Hatred makes them blind, maybe it is good for us because this way we know for sure we will not live together with them. Armenians are always giving everyone a second chance, and if they were not as racists as they are know, who knows after some decade we would have lived together again and would have gone through the same tragedies.

Hatred is not healthy, they won't be able to think rationally, the children will all get sick and after a defeat they will get devastated, thit is just positive for us.

Plus, this will make us Armenians to be on alert all times. It would have been more dangerous if they were trying to be ''friends'', just like Turkey does and slowly infiltrate our country.

Go dictator Aliyev, eat all the money!

The title says "Image of enemy in Armenia and Azerbaijan" and yet, like all news from Azerbaijan, is only anti-Armenian. its funny that they try to pretend and be unbiased and they think they are being unbiased when in fact they are completely biased. its funny.
