The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

Armenia moves to ban Western Union
    [ 25 Aug 2008 17:06 ]

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan’s central bank has demanded local banks to halt operations with the world’s top payment transfer company, Western Union because it stopped providing services in the Nagorno-Karabakh at the request of Azerbaijan.
Observers said Armenian reacted to Western Union’s decision at Azerbaijan’s request.
RIA Novosti quoted the central bank as saying Western Union violated the terms of agreements with Armenian banks by not making available services to the local banks’ branches in the Nagorno Karbakh.
Illegally occupied by Armenia, the Nagorno Karabakh area is an internally recognized territory of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan’s central bank gave green light to local banks to resume operations with payment transfer company Western Union and its smaller peer MoneyGram after the both companies promised to discontinue money transfer transactions with the occupied territories of Azerbaijan through Armenia.
Azerbaijan blocked Western Union and MoneyGram on July 30 and renewed clearance for money transfers through these systems on August 14.

Armenians cultivating narcotic plants in the occupied lands of Khojavend
      02 October 2008 [14:42] - Today.Az
Armenian separatists occupied the Khojavend region of Azerbaijan on October 2 of 1992, reports Day.Az with reference to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.

Khojavend covers an area of 145,647 hectares. This region is rich in lame reserves, making 989,000 tons.

Armenian occupants have cut oaks, terminated natural woods on the Khojashin river bank in the Khojavend forest at an area of 25.5 hectares.

In the occupied Khojavend, Armenians cultivate narcotic plants, which are further supplied to different countries. Armenians systematically commit arsons, affecting the flora and fauna and the woods are exported to Armenia and other countries.

Reports say that Armenians purposely terminate our national wealth in the said territory, destroy the natural and historical memorials, ignoring the demands of international conventions.

Actually the 1st news is true! Armenia did ban Western Union!

The whole issue started when WU was banned from conducting operations in Azerbaijan as a response to its activities in NKR! To save its interests in Azerbaijan WU stopped all transactions to NKR! As a response to this Armenia banned WU's activities in Armenia.

In my opinion, this wasn't a smart move, but it was a correct move! not all correct moves are smart! Our brothers in NKR fought hard for their independence & we shouldn't allow anyone that comes along to "disrespect" their choice the way WU did just to save it's interests in Azerbaijan!

WU picked a side & it got banned! they deserved it! they can take their transaction machines and...u know what :P

There are 100 other organizations that conduct the same operations in Armenia! Who give a rat's **** about Western Union :P

Yeah, I know it's true. I decided to post it because it was a (rare) response by Armenia to the massive propoganda the babooni state has conducted in this information war that we are currently losing.

As you highlite in your post, Western Union stopped conducting operations in NKR after massive baboon protest.

But if u want my opinion we are still WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY behind Azerbaijan in information warfare!
IMHO Armenia must put forward a type of "information strategy" to counter these attacks!

I don't take articles that get published in azeri news papers seriously! but when it comes to the net & international media! it's time we uncovered our own weapons!

Tartar River water banned for using because Armenians poison it

Tartar. Teymur Zahidoglu –APA. Tartar River water was banned for using because Armenians shed toxic agents into the river, APA Karabakh bureau reports. Local residents said the river became very turbid and they found dead bodies of fishes and other river inhabitants.

Armenians began to clean silt layer in Sarsang reservoir with the support of Russian company. The process was shown on Armenian TV channels broadcasted to Nagorno Karabakh.
They shed slops from Sarsang and other reservoirs into Tartar River.
Experts of the Azerbaijan Water Problems Institute found out that 90 per cent of the river water is useless.

Statements about "genocide of Mountain xxxs" aimed to undermine friendship between xxxs and Armenians
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Despite the bitter lesson of the South Ossetian and Abkhazian conflicts and neglecting Turkey's stability pact, Azerbaijan continues to poison its public with disinformation, head of the institute of national and strategic studies at the RA Defense Ministry, major general Hayk Kotanjyan said when commenting on Azeri media reports that the Knesset intends to form a commission to investigate "the genocide of Mountain xxxs" perpetrated in early 20th century in the territory of present-day Azerbaijan, the RA Defense Minister's spokesman, col. Seyran Shahsuvaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net.

"Specialists know that the so-called "genocide of Mountain xxxs perpetrated by Armenians" is a pure invention being imposed on Israeli public and Diaspora by Azeri propaganda machine throughout the globe," Dr Kotanjyan said, and added, "These actions are aimed to undermine the centuries-old friendship between xxxs and Armenians, the nations which survived Genocide and Holocaust and managed to restore their statehood".

"One thing is clear: this falsification is immoral. It's nothing but offence to the memory of Armenians slaughtered by gangs of Caucasian Tatars in habitations of Armenians and Mountain xxxs. Now, the remains of those Armenians are presented as the remains of xxxs killed by Armenians. Actually, the matter concerns the gangs which killed several thousands of Russian soldiers and officers going back home from the Caucasus front during that period," he said.

Re: Armenia and the information war

Well, at least we're discussing the fact that Baku spreads a lot of BS.
                  --------------------------
Yerkramas: Baku again tries to drive a wedge between Cossacks and Armenians
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Azerbaijan is again attempting to drive a wedge between Cossacks and Armenians, the editor-in-chief of Yerkramas, the newspaper of Armenians of Russia, Tigran Tavadyan said when commenting on the interview Viktor Mereshkin, the head of Association of Cossacks of Azerbaijan, gave to Day.az internet portal.

"Mereshkin tried to revive the rumors spread by the Azeri and Turkish propagandists in 1990-ies about Armenians' claims to Russian territories, specifically the city of Armavir in Krasnodar region. Following the instructions of the Azeri special services, Mereshkin as if reminds of the unsuccessful attempt to set Armenian and Cossacks of Kuban at loggerheads in early 1990-ies, when anti-Armenian leaflets were circulated throughout the region," he said.

"However, fraternal relations between Cossacks and Armenians started during the Russian-Turkish wars and strengthened with time. The Cossacks take part in annual Armenian Genocide commemorating events, inauguration of a monument to Cossacks in Yerevan and, finally, the visit of Cossacks of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Transnistria, South Ossetia and Abkhazia to Yerevan and Stepanakert, where a trilateral agreement on cooperation was signed," Tavadyan concluded.

Baku propagandists attempting to divert attention from Armenian Genocide
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Publications by Baku propagandists and their foreign accomplices about so-called "genocide of Mountain xxxs" represent one of the branches of the policy of falsification of Azerbaijani history, head of the institute of national and strategic studies at the RA Defense Ministry, major general Hayk Kotanjyan said when commenting on Azeri media reports that the Knesset intends to form a commission to investigate "the genocide of Mountain xxxs" perpetrated in early 20th century in the territory of present-day Azerbaijan, the RA Defense Minister's spokesman, col. Seyran Shahsuvaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net.

The aim of these falsifications is to divert attention from the Armenian Genocide and the massacre of Armenians in Baku and Yelizavetpole provinces in the territory of present-day Azerbaijan. Armenians had to defend their families in 1988 and in 1990, during the pogroms in Sumgait, Kirovabad and Baku. And heirs of the Holocaust understand it. Immorality of the Azeri propaganda machine is well known. I call on my counterparts in Israel and numerous xxxish Diaspora to protect friendship between xxxs and South Caucasus nations from falsifiers.
