You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan

I am surprised at the West and current lack of strategic planning and analysis. Lets cut to the chase, there is no alternative to Russian oil period! First lets consider why Baku smells like oil, it’s not that they have so much oil but because the Caspian basin under and near baboonistan is fractured. This seeps the oil from under ground to the surface and hence the smell. While there is greater quantities of oil available extraction of this fragmented rock formations is nothing but trouble. Remember Mr. 5% was an Armenian, he left Baku long before it was dry and found other oil fields to play with. After Mr. 5% left and the Soviet Union came they did not bother with Baku either because of the stated reasons. Even with the might of the USSR and the resources that this giant entity could muster it still was a waste of time for Moscow as there are better fields to exploit. Given the post above and all the other points that I mentioned what is the rational of pissing off Moscow for daydreams? Why does the West insist on biting Moscow in the leg when in the end they are going to need the Russian oil.

There are other reasons to consider as well. For example many of the oil companies did not want to go to baboonistan, they preferred to deal with Iran and come to some kind of swap agreement. Where the oil extracted in the North of Iran would be swapped with oil fields in the south avoiding long and complex pipelines. Of course because of Je w pressure the West did not go along with a smart idea. Mind you this is not the politics talking but the oil companies in the business of extracting and making money off the stuff. Who better to come up with an oil extraction scheme then them? But wait it gets better, the Western governments funded the oil companies to make these retarded long, complex and expensive pipelines for a dream! The only reason the oil companies are even playing with this idea is because they are being subsidized. Let us also consider the socio political and economic considerations of building multi state pipelines. Not only do you have to maintain such a beast, the players all along this grand waste of a pipeline want a cut of the action. Making this even more expensive still.

Since Moscow has her own agenda and resources and the West insists on cutting Iran off there is only one other entity left that could do something about filling the empty pipeline from baboonistan. Hens we bring forth the only other player that can do anything about filling this pipeline. Kazakhstan, but since they are too smart they are not interested in playing this game. This leaves no options to an empty pipeline. Dealing with Moscow yields Kazakhstan one partner instead of 14! Why not Moscow? No matter who does what with what pipeline the fact of the matter is Moscow can pay more and still make more money with Kazakhstan then the West. The Kazaks have already made up their minds It is that simple, profit! There could be other routs for oil going East to China again Kazakhstan being smart would prefer to deal with direct partners instead of many and flaky partners that can’t even secure their borders against larger players. This also puts the Kazaks in a good strategic position, as both Moscow and China will guarantee security, but with all the oil wealth Kazaks can defend themselves just fine against regional rivals. In addition they don’t have to worry about two giants pressing on them making life worse, they can deal with the near threats without worrying about the larger players.

So we have retards in action from Turkey that thinks it is some big shot of the world, to Azeri baboons who think they are little kings of Persia. Lets not forget the idiot Georgians, we seen what happened to them and their stupid games. Even with the West backing them they not only got crushed by Moscow but also proved a point of embarrassment for the West. All this for a dream of a pipeline from Shangri-La.

So what to do with this expensive foolish expenditure of an empty pipeline? This raises other issues as well, raise the price of oil artificially through manipulation to make such pipelines profitable and you end up chocking the world economy. Lower it and everyone holding the bag of maintaining this beast will not make money. So who is the genius who came up with this grand plan?

In the end it seems Moscow can play a better game of chess! And so can the Armenians!

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
