Those Turkish made Otocar Cobras are based on a hummer chassis. Georgia used them in the latest Ossetia conflict to poor effect. They have poor armour that can be penetrated by a .50 caliber round and a fragile suspension.
Not really a front line vehicle for a breakthrough attack.

If we have war ( and I hope we do not ) the battlefield units would be equipped with suitable anti armour , typically to knock out a tank.

What chance do these dinky-toys have in such an environment.

Sure they may be ok against the PKK or into areas where there is civil disobedience, riots etc.
Yes , so many nice colors , they are made to be seen ^^ Aliev has one of these in his garage so when he goes out in baku people immedially see him ^^

But I mean do we have something like this or even better ? And do we have on equal numbers because I believe they have much more than us ( even if I know +50 will never be used)?

It is a sort of an APC (Armoured personel carrier). We have better than that.

I am not a military man but my logic says the last thing one needs is special forces sitting inside an APC for cover.

What you need is fast deployment close to a battlefield.

Typically deliver fast, infantry or special forces ( small number ) to take strategic positions, spread out to engage the enemy.

So the APC is a “safer taxi” to the battlefield, most probably to offload well before the thick of it.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Are we getting any weapons from Iran? Or is it kept under the covers?

Yes we do and its even better. We use the GAZ-2075 TIGR (made in Russia). The Otokar Kobra is a piece of trash and theyre very poorly built (Georgian friend of mine told me who had relatives fight in the 2008 war). They are poor in quality and cheap vehicles overall, the only reason even why Georgia bought them is because it comes from a NATO member and they automatically think that this thing is built with European standards. It was common to find defects in the vehicle and some parts were poorly armored. There were incidents where one bullet would penetrate the vehicle and ricochet all over the inside and shred all the troops inside to pieces. Not to mention that they were mostly in poorly kept conditions even when they were delivering them to Georgia.

                  PS: Here is the Tigr
