Tank drivers from Russian military base in Armenia commence mountain exercises

Military servicemen from the tank unit of the Russian military base in Armenia have started artillery firing drills at Alagyaz High-Mountain Training Complex, press service of the Southern Military Okrug (District) of the Russian Armed Forces informs.
The firing will be conducted from a distance of two kilometers from a target that resembles a moving tank.
The overall evaluation of the battalion’s performance will be made in line with several components.
During the exercises, the tank unit will use over 300 personnel and more than 6,000 ammunitions.

Iranian military delegation visits Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Nasrollah Kalantari is on a 3-day working visit to Armenia.
On Feb 8, the delegation met with first deputy defense minister Davit Tonoyan and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, with discussion of Armenian-Iranian relations and regional problems on the agenda.
Deputy ministers Tonoyan and Kalantari inaugurated an Iranian classroom in Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute.
The Institute’s teaching staff and the Iranian delegation further discussed cooperation between the two countries’ educational institutions.
