Well we do have a number of T-72s fitted with addon armor. And you gotta remember, the ones that Georgia and Azerbaijan upgraded were crappy T-72S, which is the export version and is downgraded. I am sure we have the original T-72Bs and T-72As in service.

Which anti-tank rockets do you have in mind that we already have to combat the T90s? It would be nice to get some Kornets or RPG-29s, I don't know why we don't have them already.

An analysis of this RPG-29 hit on a T-72 tank in Syria (in Russian, use Google translate for English) in this blog post ----> http://gurkhan.blogspot.com.au/2013/...g-post_27.html

Sorry to bring this to the NK military balance thread but i'm sure it's of great interest to many people who post here especially given anti-tank discussions for our own country.

Did one of the tank crew got out alive or it's my eyes playing up?

          .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

He did, it's the gunner and he's probably the luckiest man in Syria though his entire body seems black from being burnt.

We have the Metis which is quite effective as well, I think it was somewhat successful against the Merkava 4 during the 2006 war in Lebanon so I am sure it will do its job against a bunch of T-90s, implying they even have them. Not to mention that we probably got all sorts of small arms and anti tank weapons, if the Hezbollah was able to acquire Kornets and Rpg-29s, we should probably also, considering that Russia hands that sh1t to us practically free.

I don't think Tanks would be as much as a factor this time around due to very capable Armenian anti tank defense system and the fact that tanks are almost useless in mountainous areas when they are on attack and since the Karabakh military doctrine is defense and not offensive force, I would think no new tank battalion would be needed but ability to take out/confiscate their newer tanks is much stronger, this is in my opinion......but I am only a fly boy so maybe guys like ZORAVAR or berjuin can tell us more.

hmm.. doesn't sound like a good strategy to only plan for defense, but what do I know. I remember reading Artsakh's defense minister say "I can operate with this tank battalion anywhere", which implies they're ready if the political will is there.
                      BTW, Metis-M looks really powerful.
