Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Car hit a serviceman to death in Baku.

Main State Traffic Police Office told APA that the accident was recorded in Garadagh district, Baku. “VAZ-2106” hit 25-year old extended serviceman of Defense Ministry’s military unit Tural Maharram Bashirov. The serviceman died on the spot.

Defense Ministry’s press service confirmed the fact to APA. The servicemen died in the traffic accident had been on leave.

Soldier shoots to death his fellow soldier in Azerbaijan

Baku – APA. A soldier of Azerbaijani Army has shot to death his fellow soldier.

Defense Ministry’s press service told APA that soldier of the military unit in Fuzuli Rahimov Mirgasim Vugar died as a result of the fire opened from the service gun of Huseynov Ali Huseyn.


Criminal case has been launched on the fact, investigation is underway.

Armenian Women Allowed To Apply To Military Schools

YEREVAN -- Armenia's Defense Ministry has announced that, for the first time, women now can be students at the nation's military schools.

Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovannisian told journalists on June 6 that Armenian females have a right to apply to the Vazgen Sarkisian Infantry Institute and Marshal Khanperiants Air Force Institute this year.

The applicants have to be at least 18 years old and have excellent marks in physics and mathematics.

According to Hovannisian, the new regulation is a part of ongoing general reforms in Armenia's armed forces.
