8 Azerbaijanis killed, 4 went missing in the village during recent years

Georgia. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. During the recent years, 8 Azerbaijanis were killed, 4 went missing in Sadakhli village, which is located on Georgian-Armenian border.

Chairman of Sadakhli Revival Union Sabir Mehdiyev told APA’s Georgian bureau that units of Armenian armed forces have severally attacked Khuldara village near Sadakhli and kidnapped people.

“The kidnapped persons are freed in exchange for money. Cases of cattle rustling often occur in Tazakand village. Armenian soldiers steal the cattle and feed the staff of military unit, located nearby. On May 10, the drunken Armenian soldiers attacked the village again. They wanted to drive the cattle to Armenia. But the villagers informed the Georgian border service. After that, the drunken soldiers withdrew. We have informed the international organizations in this regard, but no one takes measures. There were a lot of such incidents. Every time we were supported after the appeal to the Georgian government”, Mehdiyev said.

He noted that the Armenians captured the lands of Sadakhli and drove the border into the village: “5 villages of Sadakhli region are under danger. Armenians want not only Azerbaijani lands, but also the provinces in Georgia, settled with Azerbaijanis. Everything is obvious. The Armenians say us to drift out; they say this land is theirs. Sadakhli village exists through the very hard days. Earlier, according to village’s map, the border line used to pass over the mountain visible from a distance. But now, Armenians drove the border line to the edge of Sadakhli village, near their houses. All our springs, historically belonging to the village are left in the forest. When the water cuts, somebody goes to repair our springs and Armenians detain this person. There are more than 10 springs in Mushul forest of Sadakhli. Now, all these springs are in the Armenians side. The village residents suffer from water shortage
