Is the airspace between Armenia and Azerbaijan totally closed or does the flights from Baku and Ganja to Nackichevan go via Armenia?

The airspace is closed....in fact Azeris even deny flights over its territory by other nations who want to land in Armenia. Armenia allows flights including NATO flights over its territory. Yerevan-Van flights to Turkey is open.

Azerbaijan also claims the airspace over Artsakh and says that it will shoot down any flights from Armenia to Artsakh's new airport.

Does anyone know why aren't all Armenian T-72s fitted with reactive armour (ERA)? Is it some kind of tactical thing or?

The two countries have signed a unique contract in this regard

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Armenia will directly purchase weapons, ammunition and military equipments from Russian enterprises.

APA reports that Armenia’s “Qraparak” newspaper made this report quoting its sources in the Parliament.

The Armenian Parliament will confirm the contract on direct purchases from the Russian military factories signed between Armenia and Russia in the near future. Thus, Armenia will be the only country having such a contract with Russia.

Currently, Russia is carrying out the sales of weapons and military equipments to Armenia and its close ally Belarus via Rosoboronexport State Corporation that is responsible for foreign sales. The Russian Armed Forces and security agencies sign procurement contracts with manufacturing enterprises directly without a mediator.

The contract let the Ministry of Defense of Armenia purchase weapons from Russia at low prices as one of the country's own military structures.

Which bit of the fat is being avoided with this new arrangement.

In the picture Т72А, which is the early modification. ERA was later on T-72АV

If they do hit and run attacks on the front line trenches, flying very low, big air defense systems like s-300 sa-8, sa-6, etc wont detect them.(radar's line of sight) If they fly in low and at night MANPAD operators and AAA crews wont be able to see them.(unless they use thermals or nightvision, still difficult)
These bombs are terrifying. Unless fortifications are pressurized and hardened the pressure wave will travel threw any and every crack or opening smashing anyone inside. Im guessing these bombs can kill in 80-100m radius against infantry in the open and concuss infantry hundreds of yards away(ONE BOMB). The pressure wave can/will trigger all types of pressure mines in a large area and also destroy magnetic antitank mines in a smaller radius, clearing a path. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

That house has to be around 20m wide.

The bombs the azeris are making are 250kg but i believe a su-25 can carry a dozen or more 250 kg bombs.

I think we were allowed to buy used Russian Army equipment at really good prices.

Armenia and Greece discuss cooperation in defense sector

YEREVAN. – At the invitation of Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, Chief of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff, a delegation from Greece arrived in Armenia Wednesday on an official visit.

The delegation was led by General Michail Kostarakos, Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff.

Colonel General Khachaturov and General Kostarakos held a private talk, which was followed by an extended meeting, informs the Armenian MOD press service.

The parties discussed Armenian-Greek bilateral military cooperation, and regional and international security issues.

At the end of the talk, the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense signed the 2014 Military Cooperation Program.

The Greek delegation also visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial and laid a wreath to the monument in memory of the Genocide victims.
