Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Zori Balayan's Horrible Letter
Zori Balayan happens to be still alive. Moreover, he has written an outrageous open letter to Putin, which will be always remembered as one of the acts of Armenian national shame.
In his letter, Balayan gives some arguments to state that Karabakh belongs to Russia under the Treaty of Gulistan signed 200 years ago on October 12, by shared Christian belief and simply by the right of the great power. Zori Balayan calls Putin to visit Karabakh and finally recognize it as part of Russia.
Putin is said to visit Armenia soon. We have already informed that an arch of triumph is being prepared for him but, apparently, St. Kazanchetsots Church could serve as an arch.
Despite his insolence towards the Armenians, Putin should somehow amend the damages to the reputation of the Armenian government. The recognition of Karabakh as part of the Russian Customs Union, not as an independent state, could be the compensation.
Zori Balayan’s letter is not his personal initiative. It has been definitely agreed with Yerevan and certainly Moscow which he recognizes as the supreme capital city. A man that comes from Karabakh, the “nightmare of Azerbaijan” who has been at the beginning of the movement and stands beside the leaders of Armenia and Karabakh during every event, has been selected specially for the “big mission” of stating eternal obedience to Russia. He serves as a “patriotic décor”, and his name suits best the pact on capitulation of Karabakh.
It turns out that thousands of people got killed in Karabakh to enable Russia to restore the Treaty of Gulistan and his dominance over Karabakh. It turns out that Karabakh is the issue of Armenia, not Russia.
A few days ago, a conference was held entitled “The National Liberation Movement in Artsakh: from Gulistan to Present”. It was a perfect prelude for Zori Balayan, organized at a high level, at the parliament of Karabakh. Everything is leading to Putin’s arrival and declaration of Karabakh as part of the Russian Empire.
Nobody wants to join the Eurasian Union voluntarily, and it relies on those who are not used to independence and prefer to kneel and accept presents. The first in line is Armenians, Karabakh headed by Zori Balayan.
They had better allocate him money for his next trip around the world. His presence in Armenia has never ended up well. Due to his “patriotic calls”, Shushi was set to fire and ruined after liberation. Now he is setting to fire Armenia and Karabakh altogether.
As to his “patriotism” and contribution to the movement, one can remember an episode when the deceased president of Karabakh Arthur Mkrtichyan turned his out of his office for working against the interests of Karabakh.Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
