          [QUOTE=Spetsnaz;346242]Russia shows its hand on

          If Moscow is hoping that the Caucasus will stay stable ahead of the February Winter Olympics in Sochi, its commanders on the ground do not seem to have gotten the memo.

          In an interview with the Russian Defense Ministry’s newspaper late last month, Col. Andrey Ruzinsky, commander of the 102nd Military Base at Gyumri in Armenia affirmed Russia’s preparedness and intention to “join the armed conflict” against Azerbaijan if it “decides to restore jurisdiction over Nagorno-Karabakh by force."

          Ruzinsky added that his officers had recently toured “areas of combat engagement” and plan to increase joint military exercises with Armenian forces in the coming year.

          Yet Ruzinski's words presizely hit their mark in calming down Azeris and making sure that baku does not become part of any plot to ruin the winter games

            Never thought of it like that but I think you are right, it does look like integrally suppressed AK. I wonder how they solved the problem of the gas block interference. Do we know that Russia has done this before? I think Armenia would be the first country that overcame the mechanical impossibility of this conversion which many gun makers don't have the skills to even try.
            I know there is a small American gunsmith shop that has done this conversion with good success but that was just two years ago. The Video of reliability tests they did to that AK was awesome....so I am sure the AS-300 went through similar testing to prove the skeptics wrong.

            and welcome to Hyeclub Chubs.

              Yea, i guess we watched that same show's episode hahaha. I saw them put water and mud down the barrel and start firing it, so awesome. Yes, it would be foolish if Aspar Arms didn't use the same process, so Im now sure they did. I do not know of any countries that use this kind of weapon as standard issue in their military. The silencer does reduce the accuracy and range by just a bit, so perhaps if Aspar Arms is creating these weapons for the military, they may have simply removed the integrated silencer. Armenia can be the first military to actually use this kind of weapon as standard issue, and dump those AK-74s. I do believe the AS-300 uses 7.62 rather than the 74's standard ammunition. First thing is first...get rid of those Soviet helmets haha, it looks like our boys have bowls on their heads. I prefer the Russian Federation's standard issue helmet.

              Quick question: Does anyone know when our guys are gonna be converting the T-72s to the PT72U? Have they already started?
