Yes they have more stuff then we do but that was the case in the first war to. You seem to disregard the fact that Armenia too has grown by leaps and bounds militarily. The biggest threat to Armenia/Artsakh is not the Azeri military but the depopulation of Armenian territories. We saw that despite all kinds of odds and weapon shortages our men can still win wars but our country without our men will not be our country anymore. It is not more weapons that we need but a homeland that our people will want to live in.

Okay, the population of the country is almost a completely different subject, I see were you are coming from and I do agree, but that is something that the government needs to solve. I know many Diasporas who would love to move to Armenia, but they do not want to due to the bad economy. (And the treatment of non-"pure" Armenians -_-) An IFV can keep a group of men pinned down for a good amount of time, or even kill them if those men do not have direct support from another element (Say, air support). This is an age of technology, it dictates what happens in a war. Yes Armenia has grown as well, but not as much as its enemy, I never forgot about Armenia's miilitary growth but this is an arms race. You cannot say "Well, we've grown a little bit, this is good enough." For Armenia's size, it has a very large army, and it if it were to supply those soldiers with proper equipment in the field they can preform much better. Trust me, I have had experience and I know what I am talking about...little things can become major problems. Many vehicles today are created to reduce the damage of many soviet era weapons. Toyotas with RPKs on the back is not going to cut it. I know the economy is not doing so good, and that Armenia is working with whats its got. I just dont think they are really spending their money on the right things. Anti-tank, proper infantry equipment, and some Light vehicles can do some good.

Good news! Though a little bummed out that the helicopters might be for the 102nd base more so than the Armenian Air Force. I remember they announced the helicopter squadron deployment in October. Now we finally have a number - 18 helicopters... all that is missing is the type of helicopters )

Russia to Deploy Combat Helicopters at Armenian Base

YEREVAN, October 18 (RIA Novosti) – Russia will strengthen its air contingent at the Erebuni air base in Armenia with a helicopter squadron in the next few months, the base commander said Friday.
Russia’s 3624th Air Base at the Erebuni airport in Yerevan currently hosts at least 16 MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter jets operating under the framework of air defense agreements concluded between the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
“A decision has been made to form a helicopter squadron in addition to the fighter squadron at the Erebuni base by the end of this year or in the beginning of the next year,” Col. Alexander Petrov said.
Petrov did not specify the type of helicopters to be deployed at the base.
Petrov said Moscow and Yerevan have agreed that Russian pilots will be able to practice bombing runs and missile launches with live ammunition at the nearby Marshal Bagramyan training grounds belonging to the Armenian Defense Ministry.
The Erebuni air base is part of Russia’s 102nd military base located in Gyumri, near Armenia’s border with Turkey.
The 102nd base has been deployed in Gyumri since 1995 under a bilateral treaty that was extended in 2010 from 25 to 49 years, ensuring a Russian military presence in Armenia through 2044.
Artur Bagdasaryan, head of Armenia’s National Security Council said in June that Russian military bases in Armenia will be modernized and upgraded over the next few years.

really don't know what they mean, but anyway i dont think they will give them to us, we dont even have so much pilots, need time to train them etc... so maybe they meant helicopter squadron for 102 bas, anyway hope its not mi 8 and 24 but mi17 and 35m or 28s
