        7 Azeri servicemen killed in latest subversive act – expert

        7 Azeri servicemen were killed in the Azeri subversive act on the night of January 20, political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan told reporters on Thursday.

        4 Azeri militants were killed during the subversive act in the Martakert direction and 3 Azeri servicemen were killed during the incursion in the Hadrut direction, he said.

        “According to the latest information, the Azeri deaths total 7 and the injuries between 20 and 30. One Armenian serviceman, junior sergeant Armen Hovhannisyan, was killed. We all grieve over that loss,” the expert concluded.

          16-Year-Old Girl Wounded by Azeri Snipers

          TAVUSH, Armenia—Azeri armed forces late Thursday launched sporadic attacks in the direction of several village in the Tavush Region, wounding a 16-year-old Lianna Anikyan, reported razm.info.

          Azeri forces rained fire on the villages of Nerkin Karmiraghbuyr, Aygepar, Movses and Chinari.

          Anikyan, who is a resident of Aygepar, sustained injuries to her thigh and was transported to the hospital in nearby Bert.

          “The enemy was firing at homes and roofs intensively,” said an Aygepar resident. “We were vigilant to ensure that fires did not break out as a result of the attacks.”

          Azeri began the attack on the villages bordering Armenia at around 9 p.m. local time.

          Armenia’s Defense Ministry spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannesyan confirmed sporadic fire from Azeri direction toward the Tavush region on Thursday.

                You don't really need a major base of operation.....a helipad and a small hanger with a mechanic will do (one or two choppers)....the flight crew and the soldiers can be rotation duty (few days to few weeks) and can fly surveillance missions (flightcrew) and the soldiers can use down time to hone their skills even more in these heli drop/extraction operations by testing themselves.
                I think it's cheaper to have UAV for surveillance, saves fuel, but by the time the enemy is detected and rapid-reaction force is dispached, say maybe 10 mins? The enemy would have already made contact, and that would make it extra difficult for our choppers to distinguish enemy from ally, specially in the dark.
                Not too long ago, we read that 2 su-25s were dispatched to intercept an azeri UAV. I wonder where they departed from.....

                  APA reports that due to the tense situation, the warplanes of Azerbaijan Air Forces are flying over the frontline...

                  Our military units on the front line observed that orders and commands on the retreat of enemies were made not only in the Armenian language, but also in the other language.

                  Azerbaijani servicemen knocked down an Armenian military vehicle on the frontline in the direction of Tovuz region.

                      Haha no , our soldiers probably talked with Karabakh dialect and they tought it is another language .
